Love Island 2024's first contestant revealed - with just weeks to go until hit ITV series returns
Love Island viewers will be ecstatic over the first hunk reportedly set to enter the villa in just a few weeks' time. Welsh rugby player Ciaran Davies is the first contestant to be signed up for the show, according to The Sun.
A source told the publication: "Ciaran caught the eye of Love Island bosses immediately. He's gorgeous with a fit athletic build that will send the girls in the villa wild, but he's also a sweet boy next door from Wales to boot."
They continued: "He's the kind of lad you could happily take home to your mum. He's been in talks with bosses for weeks and is set to jet out to the villa in Majorca in the coming week or so."
OK! has approached representatives for Love Island for comment.
Ciaran currently has a very limited Instagram profile with just 23 posts and nearly 4,000 followers – but no doubt he'll see his star rising very swiftly in the coming weeks. His last post, two weeks ago, was accompanied with the caption: "A Week full of rugby to finish off the 23/24 season."
Love Island is set to return to our TV screens on 3 June, for another scorching summer. The search for love and global recognition continues to burn bright, having recently amassed over three hundred million streams on ITVX.
Ahead of its eagerly anticipated return to Mallorca, ITV viewers have already seen a teaser of the promotional trailer for Love Island’s eleventh series. Meanwhile, the show will reportedly see former star Chris Taylor join the presenting line-up ahead of the latest series.
Chris, who took part in series five and the All Stars spin-off, is set to join The Morning After podcast as well as the weekly Aftersun panel, according to The Sun. A source told the publication: "He’ll be joining Amy Hart, who made her podcast debut earlier this year, as well as Sam Thompson and Indiyah Hart, who have juggled podcast and Aftersun for a couple of series now."
Love Island's All Stars series aired on ITV1 earlier this year, with a number of former stars entering the show's South African villa. After a month, couple Molly Smith and Tom Clare emerged as the show's winners.
Love Island returns to ITV1 and ITVX later this summer.
