Harrison Ford tells Alison Hammond 'grow up' in hilarious 50th birthday message

Hollywood actor Harrison Ford failed to mince his words as he told Alison Hammond to "grow up" during a hilarious birthday message.

ITV's This Morning kicked off with a bang on Wednesday (February 5) as presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley announced to viewers at home that it was Alison's 50th birthday.

Surprising the star with gifts, TV personality Jeff Brazier showed up at Alison's home in Birmingham.

Wishing her an amazing day, Jeff also revealed that he had special messages from her celebrity friends as well as those she's previously interviewed. But to Alison's astonishment, actor Harrison also took part in the messages but had quite a lot to say.

Revealing that Harrison had sent Alison a special word, back in the studio, Ben said: "Now look, we've got one more very special message because the whole world globally remembers the interview with Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford!"

Reminding Alison that she also had an alcoholic drink with the stars during her iconic interview, Ben added: "Well, it would appear that Harrison hasn't stopped drinking since, he sent you this!"

The programme then cut to a video message of Harrison slurring his words and saying: "Alison, I remember you were here one morning with my friend Ryan- do you remember Ryan had a drink.

"They told me you're 50 years old now. Grow up!"

Laughing at his message, Alison shouted: "Never Harrison, never!"

As well as the beautiful words received from a number of stars, Jeff also surprised Alison with a performance from stage production Magic Mike in her back garden.

Alison Hammond started as an entertainment reporter on This Morning in 2003, shortly after her appearance on Big Brother. She quickly became a regular presenter for various segments and announcer on the show.

In 2021, she was promoted to a main presenter position. She now regularly hosts the show alongside Dermot O'Leary on Friday.

Last year, the star revealed that she was more than happy to continue presenting the show on Friday as she wouldn't really want to take on more days in the week.

She said: "Absolutely not. How could I? I live in Birmingham and do Bake Off and For the Love of Dogs.

"I never wanted that job. Last year we did extra because we were going through issues, but Cat and Ben will save that show."

This Morning airs Mondays-Fridays from 10am on ITV1.
