When it comes to date night dressing, I personally believe you can never go wrong with the classic 'jeans and a nice top' outfit formula. Be it a blind date, first date, or hey, even a Chicken Shop Date, it's a failsafe look for good reason.
It's not intimidating attire and removes the risk of being overdressed, transitioning seamlessly from casual pub drinks to dinner with ease. It ensures comfort, and in turn confidence – both crucial ingredients in any successful dating story. And, with so many jean silhouettes (straight leg, wide leg, bum lift, mom, the list goes on) and top combos on offer (a tank top and blazer gives instant cool girl vibes) it's never boring. Win, win and win!
The look is a classic for a reason, and you need only look to Amelia Dimoldenberg who just gave the ensemble her backing. And who better to confirm date night dressing than the Chicken Shop Date host?
Her jeans and a nice top look is courtesy of one of our all-time fave denim brands, Levi's. Specifically, the label's iconic Baggy Dad Jeans. Styling the trews with either a high-neck black or white vest top, it's a simple outfit that proves sometimes less really is more. Amelia added a black leather belt with gold buckle and black kitten heel pumps (a big spring summer fashion trend, FYI) to complete the look.
Amelia has partnered with the denim icon on a fun campaign film titled 'Dimz Dances in Denim', which sees the British comedian and Hollywood red-carpet presenter show off her viral dance moves while modelling an array of Levi's looks. Though none top her fave date night ready jeans.
Fans were loving the video clip, with one user commenting, "YEESSSS 🙌💃" while another added, "I loooove this". Though best comment goes to Amelia herself who sarcastically wrote, "Wow she’s good 💃🏼". We couldn't agree more.
