Viewers of This Morning were buzzing after show bosses announces a new addition arriving on set next week. After Thursday morning's show (27 June), producers took to social media to post a video of hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley revealing an exciting change happening on Monday.

In the video, which was shared on X (formerly Twitter) the pair unveiled the show's new Coin Drop machine - and a whopping £20,000 prize to go with it. In the footage, an excited Ben said: "Now then we've some exciting news to share with you. From next week, get ready to play a brand new competition that's landing right here in the This Morning studio". Cat chimed in with: "Take a look at what the board looks like now".

The new machine appeared to be very similar to the one used in Ben's other high-profile work gig, Tipping Point, in which contestants play a huge version of the two-pence arcade machines.

The game replaces Spin to Win, which some eagle-eyed viewers had suspected was being dropped from the line-up before the official announcement. The SpinToWinPhrase account on X - which is a fan account and not an official This Morning one - posted on May 17: "The This Morning app has finally removed the taking a break picture on the win tab for Spin To Win. No trace of it anywhere. I think this may be the death knell for the popular competition. We shall see."

Fans quickly took to social media to respond to the video teaser posted on Thursday, previously known as Twitter, with one writing: "At last, something to replace Spin to Win".

However there was also a tinge of sadness from others, with another viewer adding: "Ah no I liked spin-to-win. Not that I ever entered [cry-laughing emoji]". Earlier this month, another viewer expressed their regret at Spin to Win's absence, saying they hadn't "watched #thismorning since spin to win hasn’t been on".

In other This Morning news to break this week, the show's star Sarah Joseel announced she was pregnant with her second child.

The beauty expert shared a set of photos of her growig bump on Instagram on Thursday night, writing: "It still doesn’t feel real typing this - but my goodness, it’s happening. Our little family is growing. I can’t quite believe that my baby girl is now a big sister in training. She’s only thrown her doll down the stairs three times today! Here we go…. #2under2."
