Suite Talk: Paige Adams-Geller on Starting the Day With Meditation and Finding Inspiration Everywhere
Sitting at the helm of Paige Denim, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2024, the brand’s cofounder and creative director Paige Adams-Geller drives with natural entrepreneurial spirit.
From getting her start in Los Angeles as a fit model, Adams-Geller’s namesake brand has grown from a women’s denim brand to a premium, full lifestyle collection for men and women, sold in over 80 countries by more than 1,000 retailers. She was determined, she said, to achieve the perfect fit.

But Adams-Geller’s true passion, she said, is to inspire and empower others, which she has done through her work with organizations including the UCLA Rape Treatment Center where she is the chairwoman, the Women of Tomorrow Foundation, the Annenberg School at USC, RAINN’s National Leadership Council and the Stuart House.
Here, Adams-Geller talks to WWD about her morning routine, advising those getting started in their careers and her ideal shopping experience.
WWD: What is the first thing you do in the morning?
Paige Adams-Geller: The first thing I do in the morning is meditate. It helps me set the tone for the day. Then I jump into a workout, whether it’s a kettlebell routine, a treadmill run or cross-training. Some mornings, it’s playtime with my pups and going on a five-mile hike where I incorporate my morning meditations.
These daily routines keep me energized and also mentally grounded and ready to take on the day.
WWD: What is the best advice you would give someone starting out in their career today?
P.A.G.: A strong work ethic is everything. Be willing to put in the effort and stay curious. Get out there and see what’s happening in the world. Don’t confine yourself to working from home all the time. In-person collaboration and exposure to new environments are essential to being well-rounded, building meaningful relationships, and sparking creativity.
WWD: Looking throughout your career, what is a project/launch/product that you are most proud of?
P.A.G.: I’m incredibly proud of the 20th Anniversary Capsule Collection we released this year, which celebrates the past, present, and future of Paige. After 20 years in business, it’s so rewarding to see our journey reflected in such a meaningful and meticulously crafted collection. From leather, lace and fringe to jacquard and hardware details, each piece offers special, unique touches that represent the evolution of Paige over the past two decades.
I’m also proud of our growing shoe collection. Our shoes and boots are the perfect blend of style and comfort. It’s amazing to see our customers live in them day in and day out.
WWD: What inspires you?
P.A.G.: I find inspiration everywhere! From music, to movies, art and travel. Anything that is creative truly fuels me. Traveling especially clears my mind, refreshes my perspective and opens my eyes to new ideas.
WWD: What is a retail/tech trend that you’re excited to see coming to life right now?
P.A.G.: We recently designed our website from top to bottom and I’m excited to see a more seamless shopping experience come to life. With Shop Pay, customers are able to finalize orders quicker and with our implementation of Shopify Plus and Shopify POS, customers are able to access more inventory through omnichannel fulfillment.
We’re one of the first apparel brands to implement both Shopify Plus and Shopify POS, so I’m thrilled we’re able to offer this.
WWD: What is your ideal shopping retail experience?
P.A.G.: I love the experience of shopping in-store, especially when I’m traveling for work and get to visit a lot of unique stores and boutiques.
In our own Paige retail stores, we’re all about creating an immersive and welcoming shopping experience. We offer an equal assortment of men’s and women’s pieces in each store and have specifically trained our sales associates to be experts in fit and help every customer find the perfect look from head to toe. For that reason, I think there’s something special about seeing, touching and trying on pieces in person.
That being said, I’m also a fan of online shopping when I’m cozy at home. It can be a huge time-saver!
