I can't believe this super affordable and stylish Sainsbury's dress hasn't sold out yet
It costs just £25 and is available in two colours.
I'll hold my hands up and admit that I wasn't really expecting much from this Sainsbury's dress. At first glance, I just didn't think this style was for me, but shortly after putting it on, it completely won me over. In fact, it very much over delivered with regards to style, comfort and practicality.

⭐ Rating: 4/5
💸 Reasons to buy: Flattering shape, super comfortable to wear and has pockets
✋ Reasons to avoid: The skirt material needs a iron or steam as it creases
Look effortless in this simple yet sophisticated dress, complete with short sleeves, an elasticated waist and flared skirt.
New to Sainsbury's Tu Clothing as part of the supermarket own-brand's autumn collection, it's the ultimate transitional dress that can be styled so many ways.
💸 Reasons to buy
First things first, let's talk comfort. This dress is practically the definition of comfort, with a ridiculously easy to wear soft cotton top and floaty A-line skirt.
The elasticated waist is a real winner, cinching you in to create a hourglass silhouette, making me feel super confident in how I looked.
The subtle gathering at the waist is also a nice touch, adding the flattering illusion of pleats that gives more depth to the skirt. Length-wise, it's definitely more maxi on me (I'm 5 ft 4 and wear a size 10), but I love how it hangs and hits at my ankles.
The pockets are an added bonus, and the placement of them couldn't be better — sometimes side pockets can make you look wider at the hip, but these are seamless in their positioning, and don't stick out whatsoever. I also love the simple round neckline and slightly loose-fitting short sleeves, which means I can wear the classic number all year round.
As for styling, I kept things pretty basic with a pair of chunky white trainers and my trusty crossbody bag from Uniqlo, but I can see it looking equally as good layered with a chunky knit over the top and some boots in the colder months.
✋ Reasons to avoid
I can't fault this dress. Everything from its design and colour, down to the fabric and price is spot on. But if I was really being picky, all I would mention is the crease factor in the skirt, which is something that can easily be fixed with a quick steam or iron. Otherwise, it checks all the right boxes.
For me, this is simple dress executed perfectly by Tu Clothing and priced so fairly, which is why I wouldn't wait long before snapping it up ready for autumn and winter.
