Orlando Bloom spotted on night out in Liverpool enjoying reunion with Hollywood stars

Orlando Bloom has been spotted on a night out in Liverpool with his former The Lord of the Rings co-stars. The Hollywood actors descended upon Liverpool for their much-anticipated Comic Con appearance this weekend, after another celebrity had to cancel.

Orlando Bloom, who plays Legolas in the blockbuster, Elijah Wood, Billy Boyd, and Dom Monaghan, were snapped during a get-together at Smithdown Road restaurant, Belzan. Dom, who portrayed Merry in the iconic Peter Jackson-directed trilogy, took to Instagram to share a snapshot of the group, reports the Liverpool Echo.

He wrote: "Three hobbits and an elf and the CONVERSATION tonight was VAULTED." The night out comes after Elijah Wood, the actor behind Frodo Baggins, touched down in Liverpool and sent out a video greeting to his followers.

Speaking about his excitement for upcoming Comic Con Liverpool convention. He shared: "Hi, Elijah here, I am in Liverpool and I can't wait to see you all tomorrow at Comic Con."

He added with enthusiasm: "It's a pretty massive reunion, I can't wait to see my fellow hobbit friends and other folks from Middle Earth as well. See you soon."

Comic Con Liverpool this year promises an epic The Lord of the Rings gathering, with stars such as Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd all confirmed to be joining the event.

However, the event has been hit with a last-minute cancellation from another star, who also appeared in The Lord of the Rings and other films including Titanic.

It was revealed in the early hours of today , Saturday, May 4, that Bernard Hill will not be able to attend Comic Con due to his partner's illness.

Comic Con shared on Instagram: "Due to Bernard's partner being taken very ill he can no longer attend the event.

"He sends his sincere apologies and thanks you all for you understanding. He sends his love to all of you and will see you all again soon at another Monopoly event."

Earlier this week EastEnders Danny Dyer and another Lord of The Rings star Miranda Otto also pulled out.

In a statement shared via Instagram, a spokesperson for Liverpool Comic Con said: "Unfortunately we learnt earlier today that neither Danny Dyer nor Miranda Otto can attend this weekend, due to filming and illness.

"As the event is so close we’ve already informed our ticketing company who have contacted relevant ticket holders."

The convention takes place at Liverpool's Exhibition Centre on May 4 to 5.

The annual event brings together big names from film, animation, television, comics and more to meet fans, participate in panels and sometimes make exclusive announcements.
