Our Yorkshire Farm's Reuben Owen's huge fail as fans rushed in with support
Our Yorkshire Farm has charmed the hearts of the nation since it first aired in 2018. It follows the lives of now-ex spouses, Amanda and Clive Owen, and their nine children as they navigate life on their Ravenseat farm.
After Amanda and Clive announced their separation in 2022, Our Yorkshire Farm was cancelled by Channel 5. However viewers are being treated to three episodes on the channel on Saturday, 18 May, from 3pm.
And the success of the show has led to a spin-off, named Life in the Dales, of which Amanda and Clive's eldest son, Reuben, 20, is the star.
Reuben appeared on ITV's Lorraine on Thursday, 16 May, as he discussed the show, whilst also confirming that he had sadly split from his girlfriend, Sarah.
As Lorraine quizzed him about his relationship status. He confirmed: "Me and Sarah were together, we're no longer together, but we're still very good friends. She's kind of gone her own way and she's pursuing her own career, she does the odd day for us when she is not busy but no, we're not together anymore but we still kind of get along together very well and are still good pals."
Reuben and Sarah were childhood sweethearts who have known each other since they were kids in Ravenseat. In the past Sarah has shared photos of the couple on social media, including a throwback from 2022 when Reuben escorted her to her secondary school prom.
They both appear together in Life in the Dales, which follows Reuben's journey as he expands his heavy plant machinery business alongside Sarah and friend Tommy.
Back in 2022, Our Yorkshire Farm devotees were quick to offer their support and well-wishes following an incident involving Reuben.
The prominent Yorkshire shepherdess posted a series of photographs on Instagram detailing an unsuccessful "rescue mission". It appears that Reuben had attempted to use a Land Rover to tow a tractor, only for the car to then become entrenched in mud too.
In need of assistance, Reuben resorted to a video call with his mother, who found the situation amusing enough to share with her followers. Accompanying the images, the mother of nine captioned the post: "Horsepower of a different type required. A long walk and a late night for @reubenowen74 after a Land Rover tow fail.
"A rescue mission gone wrong and now Mummy and brother Miles calling from bogged."
Followers were quick to chime in with their support. One fan commented: "Oh heck! I saw them walking along the A686 into Langwathby on my way home from work.", reports Yorkshire Live.
Another fan wrote: "Oh dear. Hope you soon get sorted although goodness knows how you get both out of than bog."
Someone else said: "Good luck! Don't give up! All's well that ends well - I had to be rescued with a flat tyre in town last week, and loads of people helped and rescued me! and then I did loads of work somewhere else! No pats on the back, but I'm happy! ".
A fourth wrote: "Oh no, that's a serious kinda stuck! Hope it's sorted soon."
"We all have days like this. So sending positive farming vibes," said another.
In June 2022, Amanda revealed that she and husband Clive had parted ways after sharing nearly 22 years of married life. Despite their separation, they committed to continuing their joint working life on the farm, asserting their kids' happiness and well-being as their "number one priority".
