Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson made a shock return to the MTV show after her infamous row with Charlotte Crosby, as she was spotted filming in Thailand. However, things have taken a turn for the worst as she arrived back in England.

The cast have been out in Asia filming the new series, which is set to be one of the most exciting yet, with the return of legend, Scotty T. Marnie, who previously insisted she wouldn’t be filming anymore episodes, flew out to join the rest of the crew, but was met with a nasty surprise.

Taking to her Instagram story on Tuesday, 4 June, the 32-year-old posted a picture of her arm in hospital, with a drip attached.

In the caption, she penned: “Not exactly where I wanna be when I’ve just landed back in the UK,” before sharing a warning with her followers.

“FYI don’t drink the water or eat salads in Thailand or you’ll end up with a stomach infection.”

Marnie shared with her followers that she had arrived back in the UK on Monday night, gushing that she ‘couldn’t wait’ to be reunited with her children.

“Showered and in bed after an 18 hour journey,” she wrote over a video of herself in bed. “My boys are asleep, I can’t wait to see their faces in the morning. Omg it feels like Xmas.”

Back in January, Marnie, cousin of Sophie Kasaei, made the decision not to come back to the show without having "serious conversations" with the producers.

However, it seems like the star had a change of heart after jetting to Thailand to join her castmates in the luxurious villa for the 25th series of the MTV reality show.

“Marnie coming back was an eleventh hour decision by bosses, as they were worried the new series didn’t have enough drama,” a source told The Sun on her return.

"The producers were really annoyed with the way Marnie left the show and s*****d off the way the last series was edited, but when they got to Thailand to film the new series, they quickly realised something was missing."

However, the source claimed they “managed to thrash out a last minute deal,” with the star.

Marnie has been documenting her time away on Instagram, posting pictures with her castmates, and husband, Casey.

“This was a very therapeutic day at the temple, praying to the Buddah and seeing some of Thailand’s culture, I left this place feeling so zen,” she captioned a photo of herself and Casey, after returning back to the UK.
