You're unlikely to take shortcuts to success or cut corners. But you could go too far in the other direction and apply painstaking scrutiny to something, believing it must be immaculate or 100% flawless. That's admirable, but it's better to get something to a new level rather than keep polishing it where it's at. Try to get whatever-it-is to a stage where you can assess the next one.
