Gogglebox’s Daniel and Stephen reunite months after announcing divorce – but fans spot a problem with picture
Gogglebox stars Stephen Webb and Daniel Lustig have proved that exes really can be friends as they reunited for a shopping trip with their dogs, two months after announcing that they are divorcing.
Taking to Instagram, Stephen shared a smiling snap with Daniel as he wrapped an arm around his shoulders, whilst other photos showed them posing in a clothing store with their three miniature poodles.
Captioning the post, Stephen wrote: "Co parenting and shopping with the poodles [love heart] @lustig75."
In the comments section, many of the pair's fans said the same thing as they praised the men for still being friends and sending out a positive message despite their divorce.
One person wrote: "You guys [love heart] - you could teach many divorced couples a thing or two," whilst another said: "Love that you two are still on good terms."
A third commented: "Inspirational break up behaviour. So many could learn from you guys," as a fourth gushed: "Love that you are both still good friends. Some people need to take a leaf out of your book xx Have the best day xxxx.
Others were surprised that Daniel and Stephen's dogs were allowed in the clothing store with them as one wrote: "Wow you must shop in some posh shops, to let you bring your pooches in with you #dogswelcome".
Another said: "I wish we could take our pooches into more shops here in Australia. So far they can only go to Garden Centres and hardware stores. Congrats on the co-parenting, so so lovely to see."
More comments about the pair's dogs read: "Didn't know you could take dogs into shops game changer if you can great you both are working it out nice to see" and: "Are all shops in Brighton dog friendly?"
In April 2024, the pair shocked their fans as they revealed they were divorcing after six years of marriage. Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Stephen, 52, vowed to remain friends with 43-year-old Daniel, with whom he runs a hair salon.
Stephen told the publication: “It’s with much sadness Daniel and I have decided to divorce.
"There is, and always will be, a lot of love there but we’ve unfortunately grown apart and made the decision to part ways.”
Daniel said: “We’ve made the decision with a very heavy heart to confirm our marriage has come to an end. I’m sure we will forever be friends.”
A month later, hairdresser Daniel who still shares a business with Stephen, revealed that they mutually decided to end their romantic relationship after numerous challenging conversations. Despite ending their marriage, Daniel and Stephen have managed to maintain a strong friendship and even continue to share their Brighton home.
Speaking to The Sun, Daniel revealed that they actually split ten months before publicly announcing their divorce as he said "it's been very hard for the two of us".
Referring to actress Gwyneth Paltrow's "unconscious uncoupling" with ex Chris Martin in 2015, Daniel said that they came to agree that they should 'start to uncouple'.
