Thomas Markle has revealed he's worried he could die without ever meeting his grandchildren. The estranged dad of Meghan Markle shared that both he and King Charles have been treated "so badly" by Prince Harry and Meghan over the years.

The Duchess of Sussex's father, who didn't walk her down the aisle and has never met his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet, said the last decade of his life has been "overshadowed" by the drama.

He told the Mail: "Neither of us deserves the treatment we've received. Why have they treated not only me but the Royal Family and the King so badly? Archie and Lilibet have two grandpas who want to see them, one of whom is the King of England."

It's reported that King Charles has also rarely seen the children, as Harry and Meghan left the Royal family and moved to California in 2020.

During A Channel 5 documentary, Thomas Markle: My Story, he confessed that he was not the most present father figure for Meghan, who has a tight-knit relationship with her mother, Dori. He said: "It went well for a while but I wasn't home enough.

"Doria had other interests as well. What was going on in that household at that time wasn't making me happy. Then we divorced after that.

"The whole family split up at that time. Doria moved with Meghan to a nice little house and I would see her on weekends and whenever I could."
