Davina McCall passionately kisses Michael Douglas on night out after brain tumour surgery
Davina McCall looked happy and healthy as she stepped out for an evening with friends in central London. The TV presenter recently had surgery to remove a rare benign tumour on her brain, a condition that affects just three in one million people.
On 16 December, she was all smiles as she dined at the Mayfair restaurant Cecconi’s with her partner, hairdresser Michael Douglas. Fellow diners saw the couple sharing a kiss as they ate out with friends. Davina looked chic in a dark pea coat over a floral dress, teamed with diamante fishnet tights and heeled boots. Earlier in the day, Davina, 57, took to Instagram to update her followers on her health. In the video she said: "Hi, just a quick update to let everyone know that I'm doing well. And the last couple of days I've really, really, really felt miles better and I've come into London today to celebrate one of Michael's boy's birthdays, so that's lovely."
She continued: "I just wanted to also say that the picture of me in the wig was from when we recorded The Masked Singer earlier on this year, before my operation. So I was fit as a fiddle then. I'm still recovering right now and I'm planning on getting back to work in about a month." The photo she was referring to was one of her in a short pixie-cut blonde wig from promotional images for the new series of the singing talent show that returns in January but was filmed earlier this year.

Before Monday, Davina’s most recent public appearance was at the Brain Tumour Research Campaign charity last week. She was at the event at All Saints Church, Fulham supporting her neurosurgeon Kevin O'Neill, and admitted she had been crying before she took to the stage.
"I'm crying already, that didn't go well," she admitted as she took to the stage. "I lost my sis to a brain tumour in 2012," she continued before discussing her own diagnosis. She has previously thanked her surgeon on Instagram for treating her rare tumour. "I'm gonna out my surgeon. He is called Kevin O'Neill and he has been amazing. Trying to find somebody who knew about colloid cysts was quite a challenge. Kevin is very experienced as a neurosurgeon. He had done another colloid cyst this year. He has been brilliant. He got the whole thing,” she said.
She added: "I know I gave him and Mike a scare straight after the op because I was so confused but I am doing so well now. I just wanted to thank him and all the team for taking such good care of me. I'm going to take you and your missus out for an amazing dinner, Kevin."
