Travis Kelce Reveals The Moment He Started To Fall In Love With Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship sounds as if it’s been pulled from the pages of one of the singer’s lyrical books, so romantic is the pair’s love story (sorry, I couldn’t resist).
Days after appearing on stage with his girlfriend at the Wembley stint of her Eras Tour, the NFL sportsman discussed when he began to fall in love with the star during an episode appearance on Bussin' With the Boys podcast.
‘She's very self-aware,’ the Kansas City Chiefs player reflected. ‘I think that's why I started to really fall for her, is how genuine she is around friends, family. it can get crazy for somebody with that much attention, and she just keeps it so chill and so cool. And that's something I can admire for sure.’

Kelce – who is the singer’s ultimate hype boyfriend - also recalled Swift’s first NFL appearance last September and the impact it had on him. ‘The first game she came to I was like, “I can probably set you up with everything”,’ Travis noted, adding: ‘And she just walked right through the front door. There's no going down, talking to security. She was like, “I just want to be around family and friends and experience this with everybody.”
‘She got points for that,’ he gushed. ‘I was like, “Damn, she's in the madness. She wants to be a part of it and do things like that.” She really won me over with that.’
On June 23, Kelce surprised fans when he appeared on stage at her London concert dressed in coattails and a top hat. Minutes later, he swept the Grammy winner off her feet as she performed ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.’
‘I'm still cracking up/swooning over @killatrav's Eras Tour debut,’ Swift wrote on Instagram following the concert, officially 'hard launching' her relationship. ‘Never going to forget these shows.’
Swift and Kelce first began dating after the athlete attended her Eras Tour in Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City back in July 2023.
‘I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,’ Kelce Travis shared in his New Heights podcast at the time, noting that he wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it but was unable to meet her due to her pre-show rituals. ‘So, I was a little butt-hurt I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.’
It wasn’t long before Kelce attempted to swoon the singer by inviting her to watch the Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium. 'I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court,' he shared on The Pat McAfee Show. ‘I told her, you know, “I've seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one's a little more lit.' So, we'll see what happens in the near future.”’
It certainly worked as by the September, the pair were officially dating.
