Tommy Fury reveals sweet move Molly Mae will make at Soccer Aid as couple put rift rumours to bed

After weeks of rumours about a possible split with Molly-Mae Hague, boxer and Love Island star Tommy Fury has revealed that his fiancee will be supporting him from the stands as he plays for the World XI squad at Soccer Aid on Sunday 9 June, but that their one year old daughter Bambi will be staying at home.

Tommy is representing Ireland on the World XI team and is of Irish and Mauritian descent. He is playing on the international team alongside celebrities including Martin Compston (representing Scotland), Roman Kemp (representing USA, where he was born), Lee Mack (Ireland) and Jason Manford (Ireland). They are facing an England squad that features Stuart Broad, Bobby Brazier, Sam Thompson, Mo Farah and Danny Dyer as well as footballing legends on both sides such as David James, Jill Scott, Theo Walcott and Eden Hazard.

Speaking on Friday 7 June at the launch event for Soccer Aid, Tommy said: “Molly is going to come down, and my brothers and friends.”

“Bambi would have come but she goes to bed at quarter to seven so it’s a bit late for her, but it is what it is. It’s going to be a great night – she can be watching it in her dreams.”

The annual Soccer Aid event is held to raise money for UNICEF, and the charity has raised over £90 million so far, with this year’s participants hoping that the grand total raised will surpass £100 million. The charity football match was started in 2006 by Robbie Williams and Jonathan Wilkes, and has been held annually since 2018.

This year’s event is taking place at Stamford Bridge in London, home to Chelsea FC, and all the celebrities and footballers are giving up their time to train and play in the match to raise money for the important cause.

“Everyone is here for the same reason and we all want to do the best we can,” Tommy says. However, he doesn’t think his football skills are as impressive as some of the other celebrities on the pitch.

“Everybody seems to be good apart from me,” he laughs. “I will be giving it my best shot. I think side tackling will be my thing but I’m not going to try that until Sunday as I don’t want to get injured. Everyone knows football is not my thing, I am a boxer, but it is nice to come here and try my best and help meet that target for UNICEF.”

Soccer Aid for UNICEF is on ITV1, ITVX and STV on Sunday 9 June from 6pm.
