Stacey Solomon in tears as son Zachary, 16, goes to prom as she proudly shares pics and tribute
Stacey Solomon was "crying" as her eldest son Zachary hit another major life event. Having recently finished school, he was heading off to his prom on Wednesday 26 June - an occasion that stirred up a lot of emotions for the star.
The 34 year old Loose Women panellist took to social media to share heartwarming pictures of her 16 year old all suited and booted, ready for prom, alongside his mates and their families by the stunning pool at Stacey's idyllic Pickle Cottage, with some faces respectfully blurred for privacy.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Stacey wrote: "My baby just went to prom. [Crying emoji] I don't think I've ever felt this way. My Zachary, has finished his GCSEs, left school, started his first job and is off to his prom."
She continued to gush about her pride for Zachary: "Zach you are the best thing that ever happened to me. We've grown up together. I just can not believe how that time has flown by."
"Go and have the best night ever. You deserve it my darling. I'll be on stand by for the after party pick up. To the moon and back Zachary", reports the Express.
In her Instagram Stories, the devoted mum-of-five shared a video of herself preparing for the celebration, inflating golden balloons spelling out "Prom". She captioned the touching moment, set to a melodic rendition of Slipping Through My Fingers, with: "Today has been a very emotional day. Honestly, I don't know where the years have gone. School is over and it's Zachary's prom. [crying emoji]."
Stacey shared a touching moment on her social media, posting a picture of champagne and glasses ready to celebrate her son's prom, captioning it: "I had the mums and dads over to see the boys off to prom. It was so lovely. But I think we were all crying."
In a sweet show of family support, Joe Swash, Stacey's husband and proud stepdad, commented: "Where has the time gone!" along with a red love heart emoji.
TV personality Carol Vordeman chimed in with a message of admiration: "Well, that's made me cry a little tear. You've been through so much and now you are mighty.... And loved. Special mum."
