Eamonn Holmes 'living in small roundabout flat' after moving out of home amid Ruth Langsford split

Eamonn Holmes is struggling with the changes in his life following his marriage breakdown, according to a close friend.

The GB News host is believed to have moved out of the comfortable home he shared with his now-estranged wife Ruth Langsford. Following their split last month, he is reportedly residing in a "small flat near a roundabout", from where he is driven to and from the GB News studios in Paddington, West London, owing to his ongoing mobility issues.

Friends fearing for the 64-year old presenter point out his 'pretty solitary existence.'

A source spoke to The Daily Mail, saying: "It's all a rather sorry affair. It was only a few months ago he was living in his lovely family home with Ruth. Yes, they were troubled, but she was caring for him and he had some kind of normality."

"Now, he is alone in a flat living a pretty solitary existence. His marriage ending after such a long time has been something he has found difficult to accept.", reports the Mirror.

OK! has approached Eamonn's representatives for comment.

This update comes just after Eamonn made a return to the limelight following the news of his break up with Ruth. He made his first public appearance at the annual TRIC Awards, for which OK! was an official media partner, but dismissed speculation that he'd taken a swipe at Ruth during his speech on stage.

On Tuesday, Eamonn Holmes stepped up to receive his award and expressed his gratitude with heartfelt words: "Thank you very much for this award. We were up against world class programmes and that makes it a little bit more special. Sometimes we all think about imposter syndrome."

He then shared a personal struggle, revealing: "I went for an operation a year and a half ago and it went wrong. I got two things in my back that I didn't want."

Despite the buzz, Ruth Langsford appeared to be affected by Eamonn's speech, although it was clarified that his remarks "comments had nothing to do with her."

Addressing the matter, Eamonn's spokesperson told The Mirror, "Eamonn's comments had nothing to do with anything other than the two pins in his back after his surgeries."

At the glitzy event, Eamonn opened up about his recent separation, admitting he was finding it difficult to cope. He shared with the audience, "I'm not OK. This is not a good time at all," and hoped for a positive future, saying, "It's too early to say but I hope we can still be friends."

Meanwhile, Ruth has been spotted still wearing her engagement and wedding rings, despite the announcement of their split. She recently had a delightful night out at Giovanni Pernice and Anton du Beke's show in London, where she was all smiles in a photo with her dear friend Anton, aged 57, after the performance.

Eamonn has been spotted with relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, 42, amid his personal struggles, sparking rumours of a close bond forming. An insider revealed to The Mirror that Katie is committed for the long term.

They shared: "She is helping Eamonn through the tough times but doesn't want to be seen as a marriage wrecker."

"The friendship has grown in recent months but Eamonn's marriage has been over for some time. She wants to help Eamonn with his situation and their friendship has grown over a period of time. She feels she will be close to him for a long period and is in this for the long haul."
