Rylan Clark has been spotted catching up with his "work husband" Rob Rinder, following the buzz around their hit BBC travel series.

The 35 year old TV star shared a cosy selfie with his buddy Rob, 46, on Instagram last Friday. Rylan posted the snap with the caption: "With the work husband" and tagged Rob in the heartwarming post.

This get-together comes hot on the heels of their show 'Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour' which debuted last month, where the duo have been quashing any talk of romance. The three-part series marked the 200th anniversary of Lord Byron's passing, with the pair jetting off to Italy for an adventure.

Before the series kicked off, Rylan couldn't contain his excitement, expressing that the project was incredibly dear to him and calling Rob family. His tweet read: "Tonight our new show starts at 9pm on BBC Two and iPlayer. It was so special. This man has become family to me because of this experience. It really is a show like no other and we're so proud of it. Hope you enjoy.", reports the Mirror.

Rob also alluded to their strong friendship, tweeting: "'Friendship may and often does, grow into love.' Byron .. See you alongside him 9pm tonight @BBCTwo."

Last month, the rumour mill spun again when the pair graced the BAFTA TV Awards red carpet together.

The air has been cleared on recent rumours as Rylan reached out to his followers on X, the new name for Twitter, to clarify his relationship status. The TV presenter emphatically stated: "The answer is no. I'm not dating Rob Rinder, he's one of my closest friends."

While opening up during their travel series, Rylan revealed deep personal struggles surrounding his divorce, confessing to his friend Rob that it led him to an incredibly dark place. According to the Express, he shared the harrowing details: "I tried to end it. I tried to finish myself off."

Highlighting the gravity of his condition, he added, "I went down to nine stone and I'm 6ft 4in, Lewisham.."

But it seems the journey they took together offered a sense of liberation and recovery for Rylan. On their trip, he's quoted as saying, "I have never felt more free than on this trip," a sentiment echoed by Rob who agreed: "I felt exactly the same."

Rylan didn't hesitate to express his affection for Rob while promoting the show, revealing to the Sunday Times: "We do, we love each other. Like a married couple: we row all the time and don't have sex."
