Beat The Chasers' Jenny Ryan 'fat shamed' before body transformation
The Chase's Jenny Ryan was left feeling outraged after a 'fat shaming' incident during a phone call with her GP.
The 42 year old quizzer, also known as The Vixen, vented to her Twitter fans back in 2021, detailing how the whole experience that left her feeling disgusted.
The star, who's back on TV on Friday night in Beat The Chasers on ITV, commented: "Isn't modern life great?" followed by a sarcastic take on her doctor's approach: "Your GP can now fat-shame you over the phone, so you don't have to waste time travelling and sitting in a waiting room before being made to feel awful about your own existence!"
She then detailed the conversation, sharing: "Do you know your current weight? ... Oh... That's *significantly* lower than last time, well done. Not good enough though, is it?"
Around the sam time, Jenny's squad had to bite back at a vile troll who nastily labelled her a "fat b***h". The spiteful individual lashed out online, prompting her team to retort: "Hi, thanks for getting in touch. Messages to this page are monitored by Jenny's admin team.
"We can pass on messages or answer questions. Thank you for your message. You seem like a decent chap which obviously gives you the right to body shame and demean women. Your loved ones must be really proud of you!"
But Jenny was later swamped with love and compliments from her fans after she flaunted her stunning weight loss transformation just two years later.
The quiz whizz took to Instagram to share a dazzling photo of herself in a chic green dress that perfectly accentuated her slimmer figure.
Spotted at the press night of Sunset Boulevard at The Savoy Theatre, London, Jenny looked every bit the star in her satin green wrap dress, accessorised with a bold necklace and her signature black-rimmed glasses.
Beaming for the camera, Jenny simply captioned her post: "Travelling in style."
Fans were quick to respond, showering the star with praise and calling her 'gorgeous'. One follower gushed on Instagram: "Looking gorge in that dress. Another chimed in with warmth: "Aww beautiful photo of you both Jenny awww you look gorgeous xxxx."
