Prince Harry 'furious and in tears' after 'last straw' from King Charles

Prince Harry was left "furious and in tears" after what he perceived as a "slap in the face" from a senior royal, which turned out to be the final straw.

This revelation comes from a Royal commentator who suggests that the Duke of Sussex didn't expect to be ousted from Frogmore Cottage - a home he believed would remain his sanctuary even after relocating to the US with Meghan Markle.

Royal author Tom Quinn shared with the Mirror that the eviction from their Windsor residence was a harsh reality check for Harry, highlighting the growing disconnect between him and King Charles III. The cottage, a gift from Queen Elizabeth II for Harry's wedding, was taken back by Charles in March following the couple's Royal exit.

Tom explained: "At the time, few people realised what a slap in the face the eviction from Frogmore felt like, for Harry it was the last straw. Harry was absolutely furious and in tears about being evicted from Frogmore. He felt his father had no right to do it and that it was purely vindictive.

"Harry couldn't see that choosing to stop being a working Royal would inevitably mean being deprived of his Royal residence. Harry took it as a cruel rejection a painful reminder of all that he felt when his father fought with his mother during their long drawn out, painful divorce."

Tom added that Charles putting his foot down appeared 'unfair' to Harry, who allegedly has the opinion that he should get 'whatever he wants' - be it security or a home.

After he stepped down from royal duties in 2020 and moved abroad, his publicly-funded security protection in the UK was removed. This was a decision made by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (RAVEC), and has been appealed by Harry who is battling to reinstate his security when he visits the UK.

However, Harry has now lost his bid, with retired High Court judge Sir Peter Lane dismissing Harry's claim that he had been "singled out" and treated "less favourably" by the decision, ruling that RAVEC's approach was not irrational or procedurally unfair. Not holding anything back, Tom likened the Duke Of Sussex's behaviour to a 'spoiled brat' while claiming that he sees himself as a victim.

In a significant move, Harry recently confirmed his residency in the US, which has been retroactively applied to June 29, 2023 - the date he and Meghan officially left Frogmore Cottage. According to Tom, this date holds significance for Harry and indicates how deeply he was affected by his father's decision to evict them.
