A Place In The Sun's Laura Hamilton announces new career away from Channel 4
A Place in the Sun presenter Laura Hamilton has revealed where some of her sartorial choices come from, after frequent requests from fans. The mum-of-two took to her Instagram, surprising followers with the fact that she's created some of her striking wardrobe pieces herself.
In a fresh career turn, the 42 year old television personality announced a new venture outside of presenting the hit property show. Laura is set to team up with fashion powerhouse Liquorish to roll out her personal dress collection.
The TV presenter shared a series of photos displaying her craft and said gleefully: "I'm delighted to let you all know that I have launched a dress edit with @liquorishonline."
Laura remarked: "You often ask where my dresses are from, so I have collaborated with @liquorishonline and picked a beautiful array of dresses and jumpsuits, perfect for every occasion - holidays, weddings, a day at the races, garden parties...the list goes on."
She tipped off her 198,000 admirers that they could snag themselves a cheeky discount on her collection. In her words: "And what's more, my followers get an exclusive 10 per cent discount on any full price purchase items from the Liquorish website (the link is in my bio)."
Her bold collection of clothing stands out with vibrant colours and patterns, which fans couldn't help but gush over as "gorgeous".
An Instagram user heaped praise on the presenter by commenting: "You look Gorgeous in them all." Another chimed in simply: "Spectacular." Someone else added: "Drop dead Gorgeous."
Another follower penned: "Need this jumpsuit! ! ! " Many fans flooded the post with love heart and fire emojis, expressing their admiration for Laura's style.
Laura has been a vital part of Channel 4's A Place in the Sun presenting team since 2011. Known for her warm personality and expertise, she has won over viewers, helping many house hunters achieve their dream of owning homes overseas.
Recently Laura was forced to address speculation that she was pregnant following repeated episodes of A Place in the Sun.
Speaking to Jenni Falconer on her Runpod podcast, Laura said: "You say about the shows being repeated, it's funny because when people meet me they go, 'How many children have you got?' And I'm like 'just two' and they're like, 'Oh, you seem to be pregnant quite a lot on TV'.
Laura added: "'No, I'm not pregnant again, just two children'. Because, obviously the show is repeated, so you're pregnant in one, you're not in another, you're pregnant in one.
"I think the shows that are going out, or about to go out, are more current."
Laura is mum to two children - Rocco and Tahlia - with ex-husband Alex Goward, who she split from in 2022.
Before landing her beloved role on A Place in the Sun, Laura began her television career presenting for children's TV. She also showcased her talent on programmes including Cowboy Builder, Fort Boyard and Beat My Build.
In her downtime away from TV, Laura channels her passion for property into renovating houses - a project she first embarked upon at just 19 years old.
