A Place In The Sun's Laura Hamilton addresses pregnancy speculation after fans left puzzled

A Place In The Sun star Laura Hamilton has addressed speculation about a pregnancy after eagle-eyed fans were left puzzled.

The presenter revealed that viewers often assume she has more than two children due to TV repeats of old episodes from when she was pregnant.

The property expert has carried both her children Rocco, 10, and Tahlia, six, while filming for the show having joined back in 2011.

As new episodes of the popular show are set to be aired, old episodes have been replayed in the meantime, which has sparked some confusion and fans often tell Laura she seems to be pregnant "a lot on TV".

Speaking to Jenni Falconer on her Runpod podcast, the 41-year-old said: "You say about the shows being repeated, it's funny because when people meet me they go, 'How many children have you got?' And I'm like 'just two' and they're like, 'Oh, you seem to be pregnant quite a lot on TV'.

Recalling her response, she added: "'No, I'm not pregnant again, just two children'. Because, obviously the show is repeated, so you're pregnant in one, you're not in another, you're pregnant in one.

"I think the shows that are going out, or about to go out, are more current."

Laura is mum to two children - Rocco and Tahlia - with ex-husband Alex Goward, who she split from in 2022.

In March, she revealed her son Rocco had fractured his wrist.

She shared his x-ray to her Instagram Stories and wrote: "This morning's antics... Poor Rocco has a buckle fracture to his wrist! No contact sport for six weeks... The worst news for a sports obsessed little boy."

A few hours before the hospital dash, Laura shared that her children had been keeping active and busy as she shared a snap of football training, adding that they'd been at swim gala before that.

Early last year Laura announced that she had split from her husband of 13 years Alex Goward , with whom she shares both her children.

Announcing the sad news on her Instagram page, the TV presenter shared a photo of a quote which read: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

She then penned the caption: "This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be saying but, after 13 years of being together Alex and I have separated.

"Our children are and always will be our number one priority and we would respect privacy for our family at this time. Laura."

Following the split, Laura moved house and began a renovation on her new property, sharing regular updates with her Instagram followers.

Now two years later after announcing their break-up, Laura has been dipping her toe back into the dating pool.

Speaking to The Sun on Sunday , she said: “I’ve been on some great dates, to some lovely restaurants, on a picnic, to the theatre. But I get the ‘ick’ quite quickly. Once I’ve got the ick, I’m done.

“Trust is everything for me. It always has been, and I don’t think that is much to ask. When trust is gone in any personal or professional relationship, it’s game over for me.”

She revealed that she is a romantic but that she seeks chemistry and a genuine connection with prospective partners so that they can become a successful couple and admitted that she's become a little 'picky' since her split.
