Meghan Markle suffers awkward moment as she 'asks woman to move away from Prince Harry'

Meghan Markle appeared to suffer an awkward moment while attending a charity polo match at the Grand Champions Polo Club in Florida this weekend, which her husband Prince Harry and his team were victorious in.

Celebrating the win, Harry, 39, and his teammates stood up on stage while Meghan, 42, presented them with a trophy, planting a kiss on Harry before placing herself in the middle of the men for some pictures.

However, things appeared slightly more frosty when two women then joined the stage to be involved in some photographs, but as one of the women placed herself beside Harry ready for a picture, Meghan was seemingly keen for her to move to the opposite side next to her rather than Harry.

In a clip captured by the Instagram account @sussexroyal_hm, Meghan can be heard repeatedly saying "Do you want to come over here in the middle," and gesturing to the woman who was already placed next to Harry and holding the trophy with him. She then obliged and moved over next to Meghan, who wrapped an arm around Harry.

OK! has contacted Meghan's reps for comment.

Taking to the comment section of the post, many fans were confused over the interaction, as one questioned: "Why is everything so awkward with her!" Another scathed: "This is just so cringeworthy!!".

However, others only had positive words to say about the Duchess, as one commented: "Wow!!! Her dress is divine!" whilst another said: "Duchess Meghan is soooooooo GORGEOUS !!!"

The $1,600-a-ticket event saw the Duke of Sussex play in the Royal Salute Polo Challenge, which benefits his charity, Sentebale. He also went head-to-head with his longtime friend Nacho Figueras, who was on the other team.

Meghan was joined by her close friend Serena Williams for the event, and l looked stunning in an ivory sundress by designer Heidi Merrick - which featured a crossover neckline.

The blunder comes after OK! revealed that while Harry is returning to the UK for a visit next month, there are no scheduled plans for a meeting between him and his brother the Prince and Princess of Wales for 'a very personal reason'.

Harry will be in London to attend the Invictus Games 10th Anniversary Service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 but very few details have been revealed, including whether the Duchess of Sussex will join her husband in the UK and whether there will be any meetings between Harry and other members of his family.

A source said: “William and Kate are very consciously focusing on positivity and recovery. Harry is due in London early next month, but there are no plans as of yet to meet with him while he’s over. He’s reached out and sent best wishes, but a meeting might be a little premature."
