Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton were 'trying too hard', says body language expert
They put on a united front on Christmas day as they arrived together for the Christmas Day service at Sandringham.
But a body language expert claims Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle were ‘trying too hard’ to dispel rumours of a royal rift with their friendly display.
And Judi James also reckons the lack of ease between Prince Harry and Prince William revealed the truth about the alleged family tensions that have been making headlines.
“It reminds me of political body language. The kind of things politicians do when they’re walking with other heads of state and want to show some signs of rapport or unity,” Judi told the Daily Mail.
“They’re walking in step, and there’s enough mirroring to suggest like mindedness too.”
She said it all “looks performed” and like they were “possibly trying a bit too hard”, pointing out how Kate’s mouth is in quite a suppressed position. Instead of her normal classic perfect smile.
“It looks like they’re almost sharing a joke that they’ve got to perform this friendship routine,” she said.
In fact, Judi believes people need to pay more attention to the body language of the princes, pointing out there were barely any exchanges or glances between the brothers.
“They’ve both got their hands stuck in their pockets and I didn’t see any connection signals between them at all,” she explained.
The assessment comes after claims the princes have butted heads over Prince Harry’s relationship with Meghan.
Reports suggested Prince Harry accused his brother of trying to “wreck his relationship” with Meghan after Wills reportedly voiced concerns about the former Suits star when the couple first started dating.
