How Megan Fox supports son bullied for wearing dresses: 'I have a child that suffers'
Megan Fox has shared how she supports her son, Noah, after he told her he wanted to wear dresses.
The Jennifer Body star was keen to ensure her nine-year-old son, the eldest of her three children with ex-husband Brian Austin Green, knew he could "express" himself however he wanted.
“Noah started wearing dresses when he was about two, and I bought a bunch of books that sort of addressed these things and addressed a full spectrum of what this is," she told GLAMOUR UK.
"Some of the books are written by transgender children. Some of the books are just about how you can be a boy and wear a dress; you can express yourself through your clothing however you want. And that doesn’t even have to have anything to do with your sexuality."
The Transformers actor, 35, went on to say that she wanted her children, which also include Bodhi, eight, and Journey, five, to know that they should never feel "weird or strange or different" because of their clothing choices.

"So from the time they were very young, I’ve incorporated those things into their daily lives so that nobody feels like they are weird or strange or different,” she adds.

The mum-of-three, has previously discussed the bullying her son has faced because of his interest in wearing dresses and was moved to tears when asked about the topic.
“I can’t control the way other people react to my children," she told the publication. "I can’t control the things that other children – that they go to school with – have been taught and then repeat to them."
In a bid to protect her family, Fox explains she tries to avoid putting her children on social media, even though she wants the world to see their achievements.
"I’m so proud of my kids. Noah is an unbelievable pianist. He can learn Mozart’s concerto in an hour. I want people to see that, but I also don’t want the world to have access to this gentle soul and say all the things that we all know they’re going to say."

She went on to explain how she sends her kids to a school where “the other parents are similar in their beliefs,” but she still felt the need to “protect” her children “however I could.”
“So far, we’ve done a really good job and we maintain their innocence in a lot of ways, but I know I can’t protect them forever, though I do have a child that suffers,” she added. “So I have a lot of worries about that, because I just wish that humanity was not like this.
"Although my kid is so brave and my child is so brave and I know that they've chosen this journey for a reason. It's just hard as a mom."
It's not the first time the actor has discussed Noah's life. She previously revealed how he has been picked on for wearing dresses.
Despite this, however, Fox has always encouraged her son to follow his own path.
"I'm trying to teach him to be confident no matter what anyone else says," she told The Talk.
"He had stopped wearing dresses for a while," she continued. "He just wore one two days ago to school, and he came home and I was like, 'How was it? Did any of the friends at school have anything to say?' And he was like, 'Well, all the boys laughed when I came in,' but he's like, 'But I don't care, I love dresses too much.'"

In the interview with GLAMOUR UK, in which she appears as the digital cover star, Fox went on to reveal how she sometimes struggles with parenting guilt.
“It’s hard to not feel obligated to be with them all the time or to constantly feel like I’m not doing a good enough job, but I’m also separated from their father," she reveals. "So, I can only have them half of the time. That just is what it is. And in some ways that allows me to have moments for myself, where I can live my life as me, not just always being someone’s mother and that’s nice, but you always struggle with the guilt, kind of feeling like, ‘I haven’t done enough’.”
The actor and her ex-husband previously found themselves the target of parent-shamers, who criticised the former couple for allowing their sons to have long hair and wear dresses.
