Cotton Rich Stormwear™ Longline Mac
From a pair of £25 trousers that feel like pyjamas but are smart enough to wear to work, to Next's super stylish and affordable new collection, there are a ton of brand-new items that have caught our eye. However, if we had to pick one item that we think is the must-have for this season, and will inevitably sell out, it would be Marks & Spencer's Cotton Rich Collared Short Utility Jacket.
Brand-new to the website (it literally dropped today), this hunter green utility jacket, with its trendy heritage-inspired look, practical pockets, and contemporary short, boxy silhouette, is an easy-to-wear wardrobe staple that perfectly combines classic and contemporary styles and is sure to never go out of style.
This utility jacket combines a heritage-inspired style with a contemporary silhouette and tons of practical pockets.
The standout piece is not only very stylish, but also incredibly practical, as it features M&S's water-repellent Stormwear finish, which helps to protect you from light rain showers.
The silhouette is further enhanced by a leather-look PU collar, which adds a sleek and sophisticated touch, while the four flap pockets provide ample storage for when you're out and about.
Overall the jacket looks incredibly luxury, and for only £69, it's a bargain considering it looks almost identical to high-end jackets that retail for double or triple the price.
M&S recently released a very similar Cotton Rich Waxed Quilted Parka Coat, which is the same khaki colour, a similar easy relaxed fit and has two double-entry patch pockets and two side welt pockets (along with a hidden internal pocket).
The main difference with this jacket is that the fabric has a waxed effect for an authentic look, along with the corduroy collar and matching cuffed sleeves. It may be slightly pricier at £79, but shoppers have nothing but great things to say about it.
This waxed parka coat is a stylish choice for the transitional months.
While it only launched a few weeks ago, it has already sold out in most sizes and has garnered rave reviews. Shoppers say it's "exceptional value", as well as being "far superior" to other well-known branded wax jackets. Another shopper agreed that it is "a HUGE saving compared to a branded version".
Other happy customers added it "looks and feels more expensive than it is", with one shopper saying they receive "many compliments" when they wear it out.
If you want to spend a little more, M&S's Per Una range has also released a Waxed Pure Cotton Utility Jacket, which costs £129. It has a more luxury finish, made from British Millerain waxed pure cotton and has turn-back cuffs and buttoned flap pockets on the front create a utility-inspired look.
This collared jacket from M&S's Per Una collection has a very similar design and is already racking up five-star reviews. One shopper said "it looks really expensive and saved me spending 4 times the price on a very similar jacket".
Lastly, if you're after a longer design, M&S has just released the same style in a longline mac style. The Cotton Rich Stormwear™ Longline Mac is a timeless piece you'll wear year after year and features the same faux leather collar for a chic finish.
This timeless coat features a flattering longline shape and a zip-through fastening that snaps closed with buttons.
Many customers, however, do recommend sizing down due to the boxy shape, so that maybe something to bare in mind if you're purchasing one of these jackets.
