Love Island has been explosive once again, with Jess White and Harriett Blackmore going head-to-head in the villa.

Despite efforts to ease the tension and untangle the messy love triangles, it looks like it's all gone pear-shaped. Jess White was left feeling snubbed after Ronnie Vint's wandering eye landed on Harriett Blackmore, prompting Jess to switch her affections to Sean Stone.

This move gave Harriett the green light to chase after the footballer, but any hopes for a peaceful resolution were dashed this Friday, 14 June. The atmosphere was charged with conflict as Jess and Harriett failed to bury the hatchet, and Jess's pointed words during the recoupling didn't help matters.

The drama escalated when Jess stated, "I'm a very direct person, I'm very straight up" leading to Harriett's retort, "But so am I as well."

Jess stood her ground, but before the argument could escalate further, Joey Essex intervened, asking, "You are both just very different people...if he does start cracking on with Harriet though what are you gonna do?" reports the Daily Star.

Meanwhile, ITV2 viewers at home were quick to voice their opinions on Twitter, with many criticising Jess for her behaviour. One fan tweeted: "Jess is so nasty to Harriett, it's actually embarrassing."

Others threw shade, saying: "Jess is just giving BULLY like the constant picking on Harriet is WEIRD, she needs to LEAVE", and another added: "You're not direct Jess, you're mean."

Some viewers were so outraged they threatened to report the show to broadcasting regulator Ofcom, with one tweeting: "Nah let me get on Ofcom, jess ur FINISHED."

Another added: "Jess needs to be careful. Ofcom fully crossed my mind, and that's never occurred before".

One TV enthusiast expressed sympathy for Sean Stone, suggesting he was being manipulated by Jess for some drama: "I feel so sorry for Sean because Jess is just using him to get a reaction from Ronnie."

However, amidst the Twitter storm, romance was blossoming in the villa garden over a romantic brunch, where Sean and Jess had a heart-to-heart. Sean didn't hold back, expressing his high hopes for their budding relationship.

The romantic atmosphere was abruptly interrupted though, as three new bombshells - Wil Anderson, Tiffany Leighton and Grace Jackson - made their grand entrance into the villa. Joey Essex was left stunned to see Grace, an ex-girlfriend: "The villa has been rattled", he exclaimed, clearly taken aback.

The drama comes as it was revealed what this year's Love Islanders could earn from their Instagram posts, in a Love Island rich list.
