Kim Kardashian has given fans a first glimpse of her sister, Kourtney Kardashian's engagement ring after the reality TV star became engaged to Blink 182 boyfriend Travis Barker.

The couple are officially set to wed after less than a year of dating when Kardashian's rock star beau popped the question on the beach at Montecito, California surrounded by a sea of candles and roses.

Sharing in the happy news of her sister's engagement, Kim Kardashian posted a video of the newly engaged couple kissing at a dinner table.

As the bride-to-be, 42, wrapped her hand around her new fiancé's neck, fans caught sight of the huge ring visible on her wedding finger.

"KRAVIS FOREVER," Kim captioned the video, along with a diamond ring emoji.

Shortly afterwards, Kylie Jenner shared a a few photos from what appears to be an engagement dinner including one cropped in screenshot, which also showcased the new sparkler.

The Blink 182 star's teenage daughter Alabama was actually the first to offer fans a glimpse of the ring, after posting a video to the tune of Bruno Mars' hit "Marry You".

In the clip, which is captioned "so happy for you guys! I love u both!", you can see the KUWTK star rocking a massive opal-shaped diamond on her left hand.

The sparkler appears to be a sizeble oval-diamond attached to a thin gold band, which is also covered in stones, highlighting the magnitude of the main stone.

How does Kourtney Kardashian's ring compare to her sisters?

The Kardashian crew have received some of the most dazzling celebrity engagement rings over the years, with both Kim Kardashian and sister Khloe both appearing in the top 25 in the world's most expensive sparklers.

"It appears Travis has bought into the Kardashian family philosophy of going big and going flashy with the enormous oval cut diamond engagement ring he gave to Kourtney," Mike Fried, CEO of The Diamond Pro, told Hello!.

"It looks to be larger than 15 carats in a pave or hidden halo setting. The style is clearly inspired by Blake Lively's stunner, though Lively's was more unique and valuable (having a pink diamond in the centre). I would estimate the value of Kourtney's ring at 1 million dollars."

While Kourney Kardashian's new sparkler might not be worth quite as much as her sisters', it is already proving popular design wise.

Find Me A Gift looked into the most popular engagement ring trends and found that Kourtney Kardashian's oval shape is the most searched for shape of 2021, with 29,500 monthly searches.

Meanwhile analysis of Google search data reveals that online searches for 'Oval engagement ring' skyrocketed 500% in the UK on the 18th October, the day after Kourtney Kardashian got engaged to Travis Barker with a large, oval-cut diamond ring.

"The Kardashians have such a monumental influence on our style and sense of what's trending in the UK, and it's fascinating to see how Kourtney Kardashian's engagement has led to such an immediate spike in interest for similar engagement rings," explains a spokesperson for Design Bundles.

"Oval cut engagement rings have already seen a huge surge in popularity thanks to the likes of Ariana Grade and Hailey Bieber, and with Kourtney's new bling, the trend is clearly here to stay"

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian is currently in the process of divorcing her husband, Kanye West, but the reality TV star has received two different engagement rings from her ex.

In 2013, when West first proposed, Kardashian was presented with an incredible 15-carat oval-cut diamond ring.

Two years after the couple tied the knot, Kardashian was gifted another ring - this time, a 20-carat cushion-cut diamond rumoured to be worth a staggering 4 million dollars (£3,365,929).

However, this second ring was actually stolen on a trip to Paris, France in a raid which saw Kardashian lose 10 million dollars worth of jewellery.

While the ring was never recovered, it is believed that Kardashian did have a replica made later on.

She also took to re-wearing her first engagement ring given to her by West in 2013, something she explained to Entertainment Tonight.

Pre West Kardashian dated Kris Humphries in October 2010, with the NBA player going on to propose with an art deco ring by jewellery designer Lorraine Schwartz in May 2011.

The rock was reportedly worth $2 million and had 19.8 carats, with an enormous 16.2-carat central diamond.

Kardashian returned the ring to Humphries after their break-up, and once their divorce was finalised, he sold it at auction, with an undisclosed sum from the sale donated to charity.

Khloé Kardashian

Khloé Kardashian was married to Lamar Odom for seven years from 2009 to 2016.

Kardashian, who famously wed the NBA-star after a whirlwind one-month romance, was given a 12.5 carat radiant-cut ring worth a reported £650,000 from her ex.

The reality TV star married Odom in 2009 after he proposed with this 12.5-carat radiant-cut diamond, according to Page Six.

The Kardashian sisters' blingy engagement rings are considerably more spendy than the engagement rings of mere mortals, with the spent on an engagement ring in the UK coming in at £2,419, according to jewellerybox.

Following the couple's divorce Kardashian began dating Tristan Thompson in 2016 and they now share daughter True Thompson, three, together.

Though the couple have not confirmed an engagement, Kardashian was spotted wearing a 13-carat pear-shaped diamond on her ring finger in July 2020.

The ring is reportedly worth $2.5 million and sparked speculation that she and Thompson were engaged.
