Kit Connor, Cosmo Jarvis, Will Poulter & Finn Bennett Round Out Lead Cast Of Ray Mendoza And Alex Garland’s ‘Warfare’

EXCLUSIVE: Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland’s Warfare feature rounds out its lead cast with Kit Connor (Heartstopper, Rocketman), Cosmo Jarvis (Shōgun), Will Poulter (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) and Finn Bennett (True Detective: Night Country). The film’s focus and the roles the newly added actors will play remain under wraps.

They join previously announced D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Charles Melton and Joseph Quinn.

Warfare is the second collaboration for Garland and Mendoza, who served as the military supervisor for Garland’s latest film Civil War set for release on April 12. Civil War currently has a 92% on RT. The pair wrote and will co-direct Warfare. Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich of DNA and Peter Rice will produce. A24 will handle the global release of the film.

Connor most recently played Nick Nelson in the Netflix coming-of-age story Heartstopper alongside Joe Locke. Before that, he recurred in the HBO/BBC fantasy drama series His Dark Materials based on the book series of the same name by Philp Pullman. He is repped by Independent Talent Group and WME.

Jarvis is currently starring in the FX historical drama mini-series Shōgun in the role of John Blackthrone opposite Hiroyuki Sanada. Up next, he can be seen in the prison drama film Inside opposite Guy Pearce and Alto Knights alongside Robert De Niro. He is repped by UTA, The Artist’s Partnership and Yorn, Levine, Barnes, Krintzman, et al.

Poulter most recently played Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 opposite Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista, and appeared in an episode of the hit FX series The Bear. Additionally, he played Billy Cutler in the highly praised Hulu miniseries Dopesick. He is repped by Hamilton Hodell & WME.

Bennett is coming off HBO’s True Detective Season 4 from Issa López and working opposite Jodie Foster. Additional credits include HBO’s The Nevers and the British Italian drama series Domina. He is repped by CAA and Tavistock Wood.
