She’s one of the biggest names in music with a string of chart-toppers over the years.

But many fans have struggled to recognise this singer in her recent Instagram snaps.

US musician Kesha has revealed her new look in a series of images shared with her 2.8 followers on the social media platform.

She has undergone quite the transformation, proving she’s no longer the golden-haired star behind 2009 hit songTik Tok’ that made her a household name.

The 32-year-old now has long dark brown hair and a choppy fringe, and has been sporting a more natural look. She also keeps her skin foundation-free, revealing her gorgeous freckles.

Her enviable bushy brows and nose ring have, however, remained the same.

Freckles have enjoyed something of a resurgence in popularity in recent years, thanks to Meghan Markle.

What’s more, her fans are loving the brunette makeover.

After Kesha shared a photo of her pared back look on Instagram this week, her followers showed their support loud and clear.

“Keep the brown hair and bangs for a long time! Love them,” one fan wrote.

“YES U LOOK SO GOOD,” commented another user.

“Omg. The dark hair and freckles look is amazing. I am anticipating a more jagged, rocknroll, theatrical era coming our way...,” read a third comment.

However, not everyone was a fan of the new look, with a small minority hailing back to Kesha’s trademark look.

“You are so hot and beautiful but I miss the blonde one you,” commented one user.

Earlier this year Kesha released a new song, Rich, White, Straight, Men, in June, which advocates for greater gender equality.
