Kate Middleton wows fans on balcony as she reunites with Royal Family for first time since Christmas

Kate Middleton made an emotional return to Royal duties today to celebrate Trooping the Colour, a tradition that has been carried out annually for over 260 years to celebrate the British monarch's birthday.

As the Princess of Wales emerged on the balcony with the royal family, the 42 year old looked glowing in a monochrome outfit and marked her first public appearance since her cancer diagnosis.

Standing alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla and her husband Prince William, Kate wowed fans as she reunited with the Royal Family for first time since Christmas.

When Kate arrived to the parade earlier today (June 15) alongside her children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis - Adrianne Carter, body language expert at The Face Whisperer, exclusively told OK! that she was "very relaxed."

She said: "Kate arrived with the children and was looking very relaxed and enjoying herself in the first glimpse we have of her. All of the children look like they're having a happy conversation."

The body language expert also revealed that Kate is very 'aware' that all eyes will be on her today, given how important the royal event is.

Adrienne explained: "Kate is aware she's in the spotlight and she comes out in the carriage with a beaming smile to show the world she's back for today."

Kate's poignant appearance comes after the mum of three confirmed her attendance at the royal event on Friday evening. Kate released a personal message, in which she revealed she would be attending the parade, and said she is making “good progress” in her cancer treatment.

Alongside a candid update on her cancer journey, she could be seen in a beautiful new image. The royal mum-of-three is seen standing under a weeping willow tree as she gazes up at the sky, dressed in a blazer over a white T-shirt, teamed with jeans and trainers. The tranquil picture was taken by Matt Porteous earlier this week in the grounds of the Windsor Castle estate.

Kate issued a lengthy and personal statement, in which she gave an update on her chemotherapy treatment and revealed she has "good days and bad days". The princess has been receiving treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer since late February.

She said she has begun to work from home, undertaking meetings with her foundation and Kensington Palace team, and hopes “to join a few public engagements over the summer” but stressed “I am not out of the woods yet”.

Kate's return to the public spotlight for Trooping the Colour has been welcomed by her father-in-law, King Charles. A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: “His Majesty is delighted that the princess is able to attend tomorrow’s events, and is much looking forward to all elements of the day”.
