For more than 25 years, InStyle's Best Beauty Buys has helped determine the standout beauty products that are absolutely worth it. This year, we’re once again spotlighting the best products money can buy across skin care, hair care, makeup, nail care, and fragrance. Winners were chosen by our editors and a curated panel of experts, including dermatologists, aestheticians, makeup artists, hairstylists, and nail artists.

The Judging Process

Between InStyle editors and our esteemed panel of guest judges, we’ve tried and tested thousands of products over the past year. For this year’s Best Beauty Buys, we curated a list of 100 winners—both new launches and tried-and-true favorites—that we consider the best of the best. While selecting honorees, we thoroughly assessed product formulations, performance, shade ranges, short- and long-term results, and other important elements of purchase, like price and packaging. Another important facet of the process? How these products make us feel because, at InStyle, beauty is more than skin deep.

Meet Our Experts

Bob Scott

Bob Scott is a makeup artist and brow specialist with 13 years of experience. Their work has appeared in editorial and commercial photo shoots and is regularly seen on the red carpet and on-screen for clients like Padma Lakshmi, Rachel Brosnahan, and Monet McMichael.

Crystal Greene

Crystal Greene is an aesthetician with her own studio in New York City. She specializes in facial massage to increase circulation, and sculpt and stimulate the skin. Without any devices, Greene relies on the power of touch and potent ingredients to keep the skin barrier strong and the complexion glowing.

Dan Belkin, M.D.

Dr. Belkin is a double-board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery. He works at the New York Dermatology Group and is an assistant clinical professor at Mount Sinai.

Gina Edwards

Gina Edwards is a licensed nail professional who has worked in the beauty and fashion industry for more than 20 years. She has manicured countless celebrities, including Venus Williams, Dua Lipa, and Anne Hathaway.

Holly Falcone

Holly Falcone is an editorial and celebrity manicurist who has been immersed in the beauty industry for 15 years. She has done editorial and advertising work for clients including Saks Fifth Avenue, Tory Burch, and Calvin Klein, and has crafted the nail looks backstage at Batsheva, Puppets and Puppets, and more.

Jenna Perry

Jenna Perry is one of the most influential and sought-after hair colorists in the world. An authority on effortless, natural-looking hair color, Perry’s loyal client list includes Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, and Kendall Jenner, among other high-profile members of the fashion-girl set.

Michelle Henry, M.D.

Dr. Henry is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon. She is the CEO and founder of Skin & Aesthetic Surgery of Manhattan and The Henry Research Group. She is also a clinical instructor of dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College. She practices general dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery, and cosmetic surgery.

Naeemah LaFond

Naeemah LaFond is an editorial hairstylist, educator, and equity advocate. From major campaigns to the Christopher John Rogers runways, her technical range and visionary gravity-defying styles celebrate and elevate hair of all textures.

Romy Soleimani

Romy Soleimani is a celebrity makeup artist who has been in the industry for 30 years. She is known for her painterly use of color and for giving clients, like Tracee Ellis Ross and Cara Delevinge, a second-skin-like glow.
