Helen Flanagan drops major hint that she's dating again in cryptic post
Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has hinted that she's dating someone new, nearly 2 years after her split from footballer Scott Sinclair. The 33-year-old actress shared a cryptic post on social media which seemed to suggest that she may be enjoying getting to know someone new.
The mum of three split from Bristol Rovers footballer Scott in 2022 after being together for 13 years. The ex-couple share children Matilda, 8, Delilah, 5, and two-year-old Charlie.
But hinting that she's back on the dating scene, the star shared a quote to Instagram which read: “You accidentally let your weird side out during the talking stage.”
Last year the actress told The Sun how she and Scott had decided to call it quits for the sake of their children.
She said: "It was a mutual decision and, personally, I felt as a mum that this was the best thing for my children. I want them to see healthy relationships and to be in healthy environments. I think if you’re unhappy then that projects on to them.
“Especially when you have daughters, you feel like you have to set an example. I always ask myself: ‘What would I want my daughters to do? What would I want for them?’ I’d want them to be happy. I wouldn’t want them to feel stuck.”
It comes amid reports that Helen's ex-fiance had reportedly moved on with a model who the she has known for years. The footballer was spotted enjoying a cosy night out in Manchester last week with Helen's former friend, Louise Tarver.
Scott and swimwear model Louise were seen dining at Manchester's Sexy Fish restaurant, before moving on to celeb hotspot MNKY HSE.
According to MailOnline, Helen and Louise were friends previously, with Louise even attending a party hosted by the soap star in 2014. A source told the publication: "Helen has known Louise for years, it won't be easy for her to know Scott is wining and dining her."
Earlier this year, Helen revealed that she'd been 'emotionally struggling' following their split and shared that she'd been diagnosed with psychosis. She had to step away from her role in the theatrical show Cluedo 2, telling fans the reason in an emotional Instagram message.
She explained: "I felt really not great in my head over Christmas and I didn't really feel that much different when I took the kids away for new year. Had a lot of difficult things going on things I just can't talk about on Instagram."
