Heidi Klum is the uncontested queen of Halloween, after almost two decades of stand-out costumes which get bigger and better every year.

From 2002’s Betty Boop to 2006’s Forbidden Fruit and last year’s Princess Fiona, the model never fails to disappoint with her annual costumes.

She goes to great lengths – prosthetics, body makeup, and even enlisting the help of five lookalike versions of herself for 2016’s ‘Heidis’ costume – to make sure her costumes are a cut above the rest.

The annual costumes are revealed every Halloween (31 October) at a party Klum hosts herself at a glamorous location in New York City.

In the run-up to her party this evening, she’s been teasing this year’s costume on her Instagram account.

On 16 October, she shared a video of Mike Marino, owner of a Prorenfx prosthetics studio, constructing a head and shoulders figure which forms part of her costume.

She also revealed the team would be spending 10 hours transforming her on the day of Halloween (likely right about now, at time of writing).

Klum shared a video of herself having her prosthetics mask fitted yesterday, and then earlier today she posted a series of videos of herself having her hair slicked back and others with scary looking filters.

While it’s yet to be seen what she will be going as, that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating.

“ET,” guessed one Instagram, while another suggested she might be going as the late Robin Williams’ title character in ‘Mrs Doubtfire’, as her prosthetics studio post yesterday seemed to recreate that scene.

She has also posted a cute picture of herself with cat eye glasses and whiskers – although we imagine that’s a little low key for her actual costume. Stay tuned.
