This year’s major celebrity Halloween costume trend? Dressing up as other celebrities.
Move aside, Count Dracula. Rather than opting for traditional “scary” costumes, a whole line-up of high-profile figures eschewed blood n’ gore and used Halloween as an opportunity to have their very own ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ moment.
They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and if that’s true then the likes of Naomi Campbell, Beyonce and Marilyn Manson should be feeling pretty chuffed right now.
Then there’s Billie Eilish, who had not one but two major stars paying homage to her style this year.
There were also retro throwbacks aplenty: with Halsey and Evan Peters’ homage to Sonny and Cher, and Avril Lavigne dressing as Madonna.
Kevin Hart as The Rock
The comedian channelled The Rock’s ‘90s style in a black turtleneck, chain and a black bum bag.
Nina Dobrev as Billie Eilish
The actor paid homage to the 17-year-old star in an orange Louise Vuitton print jumper and matching shorts.
Stephanie Beatriz as Billie Eilish
It’s another Billie Eilish homage, with Argentine-American actress Beatriz dressing up as the star in a head-to-toe bright green look.
Ciara as Beyonce
Singer Ciara and her husband Russell Wilson dressed as Beyonce and Jay Z for Halloween, recreating the pair’s BRIT awards acceptance video.
Normani as Naomi Campbell
The ‘Fifth Harmony’ singer paid homage to the supermodel, channelling a photo shoot she did in 1991.
Halsey as Marilyn Manson
Who better than goth rocker Marilyn Manson to channel for Halloween? Singer Halsey went for it, even putting in contrasting coloured contact lenses in homage to the star’s trademark look.
Halsey and Evan Peters
The new couple made their red carpet debut in an epic Sonny & Cher couples’ costume earlier this week. We’re here for it.
Stormi Webster as Kylie Jenner
Little Stormi – already a celebrity in her own right – dressed up as...her mother! Jenner dressed her daughter up in a lilac outfit which paid homage to her own Versace look at this year’s Met Gala.
Avril Lavigne as Madonna
The singer dressed up as Madonna – complete with leather jacket and black tutu – for a performance with Halsey, where the pair performed Lavigne’s hit ‘Girlfriend’ together.
