Hannah Waddingham's latest outfit is a stunning example of a sophisticated way to embody the latest sheer trend, without sacrificing any of the fun of the look.
The star took to the red carpet at the prestigious Olivier Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Sunday (14 April) and opted for a stunning lilac dress. Her ultra glamorous showstopper was adorned in diamonds and flowed into a trailing, floor-length pool.
Hannah's custom Marchesa gown featured a gathered, one-shoulder design and high-leg split, with multiple layers. The inner silhouette cuts diagonally as a fitted mini skirt beneath the trailing outer layer, creating the sheer effect which is so popular on the red carpet this season. The lilac body and sparkles give a playful flair to Hannah's look, while the sheer detail and high split add a sophisticated, on-trend edge.
To finish the outfit, Hannah created a monochrome ensemble by adding a pair of lilac stilettos. While the actor arrived in this stunning purple dress, she actually had a number of outfit changes across the course of the evening - and almost all relied on sparkling details.
At various points of the night Hannah was also spotted in fitted, shimmering gown in deep blue, a strapless silver dress with mirror-like sequin detailing and a fitted black jumpsuit to round off the evening.
The Eurovision and Ted Lasso star was the host of this year's Olivier Awards at London's Royal Albert Hall.
