BBC Hairy Bikers' Si King left fans reaching for the tissues with his latest emotional update on the final project with his late co-star Dave Myers. Followers of the dynamic duo were moved as the TV chef shared news about their upcoming book, Fast and Fresh, which holds a special place in their hearts, especially as it was one of the final collaborations before Dave sadly passed away at 66 this February.

Taking to Instagram, Si, aged 57, appeared deeply touched as he held up the cookbook that Dave was "so proud of" and announced its release. In the heartfelt video, he said: "Hello everyone it's Si here. Fast and Fresh from The Hairy Dieters is available tomorrow. Thank you if you pre-ordered, it's hugely appreciated."

Si continued to share the passion both he and Dave had for the book, saying: "It was a book that Dave and I really loved working on, so yeah there's 80 delicious and easy recipes, easy as I know we're all pushed for time these days. I don't know how that happens but we just are aren't we."

He gave followers a glimpse into the book's content and expressed the joy they experienced while creating it: "It's a lovely book and we had the greatest of joy working on it together. Dave was very proud of it, so here it is."

Acknowledging the constant support from their fans, Si added: "Thank you for your continued support" and assured them that it "doesn't go unnoticed". Concluding his message with affection, he stated: "Lots of love and I hope you enjoy Fast and Fresh", reports the Mirror.

The pair's fanbase of 383,000 were quick to shower the comments section with comforting words, one typing: "You are such a lovely guy. Dave was lucky to have you in his life too! " Another fan commented: "Hope you're holding up lad."

A third and fourth followers wrote: "Thinking of you Si and feeling the love for Dave strong as ever!" and "Sending you love Si could hear the sorrow in your voice. What a great legacy Dave leaves behind him. Take care."

Earlier this week, Si spent some time reminiscing with Liliana, Dave's wife, along with family and friends during a special tribute night. Reflecting on the poignant evening, Si captured and shared photos of the event, writing: "We had a wonderful evening reminiscing about our dear friend and the room was filled with love as you'd expect Dave would have loved it.
