EastEnders fans 'weren't prepared' for legend's sudden exit after health reveal
EastEnders' Bianca Jackson, played by Patsy Palmer, has left fans speculating about her fate after she was seen driving away in a drunken state. The soap legend made a triumphant return to the BBC One soap this year, having first joined the cast back in 1993 and quickly becoming one of the show's most iconic characters.
Recently, Bianca found herself tangled up in drama with Whitney Dean, who decided to leave Walford after discovering that her boyfriend Zack had cheated on her with Lauren Branning. Whitney was even more devastated when she learned that Bianca knew about the affair but chose not to tell her.
After giving birth to her and Zack's baby, Whitney made the difficult decision to leave Walford, leaving Bianca behind. Since then, Bianca has been heartbroken and also had a falling out with her sister Sonia over her boyfriend Reiss' secret.
Fans will recall that Reiss has been using his wife's money, who is in a coma, to fund his and Sonia's IVF treatment. In Wednesday's episode (June 12), Bianca confessed to Kat Slater that she has been diagnosed with depression.
She then drowned her sorrows at the Vic before having a heated argument with Sonia. Bianca ended up revealing the truth about Sonia and Reiss' IVF situation, leaving Sonia embarrassed, reports the Daily Star.
Clearly intoxicated, Bianca then got into her Taco van, with Sonia warning her that she could kill herself if she drives. Emotional Bianca glanced back and caught sight of Reiss from across the square, then she drove away as the credits rolled, leaving Sonia visibly concerned.
Now, fans are piecing together Bianca's fate - and it doesn't look promising. On an EastEnders Facebook fan group, a user speculated: "So is that it then? Has Bianca left again? " Another chimed in with: "She'll get stopped by the police for drink driving then end up back in prison probably lol."
Another fan pondered: "I think she's not coming back after driving off drunk in the car, either get killed or done for drink driving." Meanwhile, on X, previously known as Twitter, someone predicted: "I think Bianca will have an accident and end up in hospital."
Other fans couldn't believe that Bianca had left for good, with one writing: "Surely Bianca can't just leave without having a heart to heart with Sonia #EastEnders." Meanwhile, another said: "Nah, I wasn't prepared for that to have been Bianca's last episode. Patsy Palmer driving off in that taco van to get back to her DJ gig in LA #EastEnders."
