The Duchess of Cambridge shows her support for Ukraine by wearing blue
The Duchess of Cambridge is using her wardrobe to show her ongoing support for Ukraine.
William and Kate paid a visit to London’s Ukrainian Cultural Centre yesterday, to learn of the effort and support being given to those affected by the Russian invasion.
The royals met with with London-based members of the Ukrainian community and helped sort through donated items to send to those in need.
"The Ukrainian Cultural Centre in London has become one of many hubs organising donations, material aid and supporting Ukrainians living locally," the royals explained in a tweet. "The work volunteers here are doing to ensure that help gets to where it is most needed is inspiring."
"So too is the incredible generosity of the British public. The Disasters Emergency Committee has already received over £132 million in donations, and continues to raise funds to support the essential humanitarian effort."

For the occasion, Kate used her influential style as a powerful tool to show support, by wearing a blue Alexander McQueen jumper that matched the same shade on the Ukrainian flag.
The royal styled the sweater with chic wide-leg trousers (her new style signature) from Jigsaw and pointed navy heels by Gianvito Rossi. Both the duchess and Prince William wore blue and yellow badges during their visit to further show their support.
The Cambridges previously shared a message of solidarity with the people of Ukraine and that they “stand with" President Volodymyr Zelenskyy amid the Russian invasion.
"In October 2020 we had the privilege to meet President Zelenskyy and the First Lady to learn of their hope and optimism for Ukraine’s future. Today we stand with the President and all of Ukraine’s people as they bravely fight for that future,” the statement read, which was a rare move as the royal family tends to remain neutral on political matters, according to Reuters.
Kate and William met Zelenskyy and first lady Olena Zelenska at Buckingham Palace last year, during the Ukrainian President's two-day official visit to the United Kingdom.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, also released a statement condemning Russian President Vladimir Putin for his war on Ukraine.
It read: "Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and all of us at Archewell stand with the people of Ukraine against this breach of international and humanitarian law and encourage the global community and its leaders to do the same."
