Disney devotees have been left gobsmacked after discovering the filming location of one of their cherished childhood shows.

There's nothing quite like the nostalgia of coming home from school, switching on Disney Channel and watching Zack and Cody causing mischief at The Tipton Hotel in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Die-hard fans will fondly recall London Tipton's unforgettable PRINDL episode or Mr Mosby's side-splitting dance routine.

The American sitcom, which followed the antics of a family residing in a hotel plus the Tipton staff, aired from 2005 to 2008 and was so loved that a follow-up series, The Suite Life on Deck, ran for three years from 2008, before The Suite Life Movie hit screens in 2011. And while true fans of the comedy may think they know the show inside out, many are flabbergasted by their recent discovery about the actual filming location of the series.

Like numerous American sitcoms, the majority of the show was shot in Los Angeles and the Hollywood Center Studios, as well as around the districts of Manhattan and Hollywood, despite the show being set in Boston, Massachusetts.

But, the exterior scenes of the fictional Tipton Hotel were actually filmed in Canada. At the beginning of each episode, viewers would always see shots of a majestic hotel with a distinctive green roof - this is none other than The Fairmont Hotel in Vancouver.

Fans are absolutely losing it after Andrea Parkerson made an astonishing discovery in Vancouver. Taking to her TikTok page @andrea_parkerson, she posted a video clip showcasing the Fairmont Hotel's exterior and exclaimed: "Send this to all Suite Life of Zack and Cody fans because I flipped when I saw this."

The comments section exploded with reactions. One fan confessed: "Omg I live in Vancouver and never realised this! And I loved the show." Another was just as surprised, commenting: "Driven past this so many times and never thought it looked familiar."

A third wrote: "Wait, how did I never realise this." Meanwhile, another local shared their disbelief: "As someone who lives an hour from Vancouver. I'm sorry WHAT."

One person remarked: "I always forget that a lot of Disney/family channel shows were filmed in Canada. That's insane."

Another fan said: "I'm sorry I stayed at the Tipton without knowing it?"
