Davina McCall wants to dispel the myth that sex stops when you hit your fifties.

The TV presenter, 52, appears as the cover star for the October issue of Women’s Health and opened up to the publication in a candid interview about orgasms, menopause and getting her nipple re-pierced.

Despite saying she doesn’t look quite as good as she did a few decades ago, McCall is feeling better than ever.

“I don’t look as good naked as I did in my 20s. But I feel better, and that’s the difference,” she said. “I walk around like a foxy minx now because I feel like a foxy minx.”

The Big Brother presenter also opened up about sex after menopause, saying she’s never felt better in her body.

“Women over 50 feel sexy, we can dress sexily and we can wear underwear and we still enjoy orgasms,” she continued. “People say, ‘Oh, it’s all gone... menopause... you’re finished with your wizened, dried-up ovaries.’ I feel like it’s really important to say that people in their 50s are having the time of their lives.”

The Masked Singer judge also revealed that going through the menopause at 44 affected every area of her life, explaining that she was struggling to sleep and suffering from brain fog while juggling working and being a mum to her three children, Holly, 18, Tilly, 16 and Chester, 13.

“My phone was in the fridge and my keys were in the bin,” she says. “My night sweats became so bad. I just never slept through. I couldn’t read Autocue…”

But hormone replacement therapy helped turn things around.

“From the minute I put the little [hormone replacement therapy] patch on – boom, sleep. Oh my god, the joy. I felt like I was back.”

McCall recently wowed fans by showing off her incredibly toned figure while modelling bikinis in her bedroom on a UK staycation.

The popular presenter looked youthful while posing in an assortment of yellow, red and blue bikinis beside her brown, leather-framed bed.

The post quickly clocked up more than 91K ‘likes’, with thousands of fans leaving messages of praise for the hard work McCall puts in the gym.

It came as the former Big Brother host recently insisted that it's not just men who have a midlife crisis in their 40s.

Speaking to her boyfriend, the celebrity hairdresser Michael Douglas, on their podcast Making The Cut, she noted a trend among many of her female friends in their 40s for questioning the path their life has taken.

The TV favourite explained: “I know lots of women who are at a stage in their life where they think, ‘Is this it?’

“It probably comes as no surprise that there are so many divorces between the age of 40 and 50.

“That's the midlife crisis where you'll start asking yourself those questions: ‘Am I happy? Is this what I want? Where am I going? What am I doing? Who am I?’”
