Perhaps you like going to Costa for its delicious blueberry muffins, the coffee-bean-shaped sprinkles you get on your cappuccinos or its cheese and ham toasties.

But if you’re after something a little fancier, the café chain’s now offering something classier.

Recently opened in Wandsworth, the new concept store sells things like alcohol and posh treats along with their coffee.

The coffee selection has gone up a notch, too, with three new slow drip, single origin coffee blends from Columbia, Sumatra and Kenya - in both hot and cold.

There will also be an ‘enhanced food menu’ available throughout the day, comprising of things like macarons (gasp), avocado on toast and antipasti plates. Yep - they’re not messing around with the whole ‘fancy’ thing.

And the store, which opened on Tuesday, will be trialling later hours in which it can serve you alcohol too. Hallelujah.

And Costa isn’t the only place to have tried creating chic atmospheres - remember when Starbucks had a small selection of its stores offer wine in the evenings? No? It sure did.

McDonald’s also joined the modern era recently by integrating touchscreens into its restaurants, allowing customers to order their food remotely.

Not only this, but you can have your food brought to you, as well as have access to free-to-use tablets for if you want to check Facebook, charge your phone or check your emails.

We live in a brave new world.
