Chris Nguyen: the 10 funniest things I have ever seen (on the internet)
I love the internet. As a comedian, I spend much of my downtime on the world wide web. It’s a fantastic way to distract myself from the inevitability of life. Has it ruined our ability to authentically connect with others? Sure. But that’s a small price to pay for a few moments of joy.

I would usually encourage people to go outside and watch comedy live. But if you’re stuck at home and craving that dopamine high, here’s my list of funniest clips. God bless.
1. Dave Attell
Pretty much the only family-friendly clip of Dave Attell I could find. I consider him the purest comedian in terms of writing, structure and word economy. This clip is more than 30 years old and the jokes still hold up.
2. Country ass town
Never fails to make me laugh. Thank God moments like this are immortalised on the internet.
3. Norm Macdonald
I often go down rabbit holes watching clips of Norm Macdonald. His legendary appearances on The Late Show and Conan are absolute joy. I miss that old chunk of coal.
4. Liza Treyger
I love her rhythm and delivery. It’s casual, conversational and hilarious. The audience is terrible in this clip but Liza shines.
5. Dan Rath
When someone asks me to suggest an Australian comedian to watch, I always say Dan Rath. A brilliant writer and performer, he’s best enjoyed live. Go check him out.
6. Tom Green
A pioneer in comedy and broadcasting. His pranks were always fun, silly and never malicious – something severely lacking today.
7. Maria Bamford
Maria masterfully pokes fun at a particularly hackneyed style of comedy in her own unique way. Brilliant.
8. Adam Sandler
Taken from his Netflix special 100% Fresh. Beautifully shot and really captures the fun of live comedy. Give it up for the Sandman.
9. Tim Heidecker
I watch a lot of bad comedy. Most times, it’s recordings of my own sets. But nobody does bad comedy better than Tim Heidecker. The full special is also on YouTube.
10. Nathan for You
Nathan Fielder always gives me a laugh. Both cringe-worthy and thought-provoking.
