Love Actually fans are floored after learning who the kid from iconic movie is married to
Thomas Brodie-Sangster melted hearts as the love-struck Sam in the Christmas classic Love Actually, but he's all grown up and married to someone who you might not have guessed.
The 34-year-old actor, who first made waves as a child star, has since built an impressive career with roles in the Maze Runner trilogy, Game of Thrones, The Queen’s Gambit and more.
His wife, English actress Talulah Riley, 39, started her career on the small screen with roles in Agatha Christie’s Poirot and Marple, and was the lead in E4's short-lived show Nearly Famous in 2007. In case you didn't know, Riley, who later appeared in films like Pride and Prejudice, St Trinian’s, and more, is the ex wife of Elon Musk.
She was famously linked to billionaire Tesla CEO Elon Musk, marrying him twice - first in 2010 and then again in 2013, after their initial divorce in 2012. They finally parted ways in 2016.

She and Brodie-Sangster reportedly fell in love while filming Pistol in 2022, a series about the Sex Pistols. On July 27, 2023, the Love Actually alum confirmed their engagement on his official Instagram page, sharing a sweet photo of the pair in a gondola with the caption: "Happy to announce that Talulah and I are engaged. Love is all around X."
The caption serves as a nod to the popular 1967 song by the Troggs, 'Love is All Around'. Bill Nighy's character Billy Mack famously transformed the classic tune into a festive hit in Love Actually.
In a flurry of comments under the recent post, one fan gushed: "How did I not know that the kid from Love Actually was married to Elon Musk’s ex???? Am I the only one shocked by this? CUTE COUPLE THOUGH. Wishing you love and happiness!!"
Another simply stated: "Fan of their relationship," while someone, just catching up on the news, exclaimed: "Lmao I just saw this now, love it."
Since tying the knot in the summer of 2024, TikTok has been abuzz with tribute videos to the adorable couple. Under one such video, a commenter wrote: "I watch Love Actually every year and still can't believe this is the little boy, all grown up, and so happily married. Happy for them!"
Others couldn't get over how much he'd grown, with one saying: "He grew up?! I will forever see him as 24 from Maze runner," while another called him: "The hero of my favourite movie."
Beneath another TikTok celebration clip, one fan commented: "They look so cute together, I wish them the best," to which, the creator of the video agreed: "[I know right]!! They look so perfect together!" A further comment read: "I'm so happy for them omg I love seeing him happy."
Over on Reddit, the marriage also caused a stir, with one user posting: "It is WILD to me that Mary Bennet and Sam from Love Actually are betrothed."
And another shared their disbelief: "Oh my God the little boy from Love Actually is getting married I need to go back to bed and rest my infirm bones..."
