Celebrity Gogglebox 2024 full cast line-up – from Spice Girl to new member of Brazier family
Celebrity Gogglebox returns to Channel 4 on Friday, 7 June, and fans are sure to be thrilled about the cast list of returning favourites and exciting new stars, including a former Spice Girl and a new member of the Brazier family.
According to a Channel 4 insider, celebrities are clamouring to be on Celebrity Gogglebox, but only a lucky few are selected each year to watch TV on their sofas for Channel 4.
One of the most exciting stars signed onto this year’s programme is Scary Spice herself, Mel B, who will be joined by her 25-year old daughter Phoenix Chi.
Mel B is no stranger to reality TV, as she was a judge on Series 11 of The X Factor. Her daughter is also familiar with life in the spotlight, as she previously starred in ITV’s Olympics series The Games.
A Gogglebox insider spoke about their excitement around signing Mel B to the show, saying: "It's so exciting to have Scary Spice and Phoenix on the sofa together, they're going to be fantastic."
Mel B is not the first Spice Girl to appear on Celebrity Gogglebox, as Sporty Spice Mel C appeared on the show in 2022 with her brother, Paul. Mel C and Paul will be back for this season as well. Hopefully there will be many more seasons and many more Spice girls on Gogglebox soon.
Another of the new stars will be Freddie Brazier, brother of EastEnders and Strictly Come Dancing star Bobby Brazier, who was previously on Gogglebox Stand Up to Cancer with his and Freddie’s dad, TV presenter Jeff Brazier.
A source told the Sun: "The trio have great banter and it will be great to treat Bobby's huge fanbase to his rapport with Freddie."
Channel 4 has now released the full lineup, and other celebrities are expected to feature on the programme are Zoe Ball and her son Woody Cook, Martin and Roman Kemp, Fearne Cotton and Gok Wan, Claire Balding and her partner and fellow broadcaster Alice Arnold, Gyles Brandreth, and fan favourite, Rylan who delighted fans when he appeared on the show with his mum, Linda who will be joining him again.
Other stars will be Happy Mondays icons Shaun Ryder and Bez, Absolutely Fabulous creator and star Jennifer Saunders and her daughter and comedic actress Beattie Edmondson, Loose Women stars Judi Love and Charlene White, Stacey Solomon and her husband Joe Swash, Comedian Chris McCausland, who is rumoured to be joining Strictly Come Dancing and comedian Donna Preston,
Another EastEnders legend expected to return to Celebrity Gogglebox this season is Danny Dyer, who fans loved watching alongside his daughter, Love Island star Dani Dyer.
This will also be Capital Breakfast presenter, Roman Kemp’s, sixth year on Celebrity Gogglebox.
In an exclusive interview with OK! Roman spoke about being on the show with his dad, Martin Kemp, saying: "I love it. It's the best. And what you see genuinely, that is our relationship. So that's the nicest thing."
Other icons joining the cast are: dynamic duos like Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely, Babatunde Aleshe alongside Mo Gilligan, Jane McDonald and her bestie Sue, Chris Packham CBE teaming up with step-daughter Megan, Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liv, Stephen Mangan and his sister Anita, the iconic father-son duo Martin and Roman Kemp, Paralympic champions Kadeena Cox and Lauren Steadman, Ellie Simmonds and Richie Anderson, TV favourites Miquita and Andi Oliver, and comedy legends Rob Beckett and Tom Allen. Fans will remember when Shaun Ryder revealed he knitted jumpers for his chickens, and the Kemp family demonstrated how during advertisement breaks they try to get biscuits into their mouths without touching them.
