Domyos Run500 Treadmill
This is one of Decathlon’s bestselling treadmills and after testing it, we understand the hype. Coming it at under £600 in this Black Friday deal, it offers a host of features normally found on pricier models. We’re talking speeds of up to 16kph, inclines up to 10%, no fewer than 30 pre-set workouts and the ability to fold away to save space. It also has plenty of extras, including a port to plug in your tech, and a tablet holder.
Garmin Forerunner 255
If listen to tunes phone-free is how you'd like to roll on your runs, the Forerunner 255 Music might be your answer. This capable all-rounder has storage for up to 500 songs and easy playlist access for Spotify, Deezer or Amazon Music. It makes soundtracking your long runs nice and simple but it’s not just about the music, there's plenty of training smarts, too with multi-band GPS, 30 hours training time and loads of Garmin’s training, fitness and recovery tools.
GPS 500 by Coros
Looking for a budget-friendly watch? We reviewed GPS 500 and found very little to fault about it. It's a fantastic watch for beginners and experienced runners alike, with a decent battery life (30 days in standard mode, and 25 hours in GPS mode)
Garmin Forerunner 55
Voted 'best for beginners' by our experts, the Forerunner 55 comes with all the basics, including built-in GPS and optical heart rate monitoring, plus 20 hours’ GPS run time on a single charge and a general usage battery life that’ll get most runners through at least a week’s training. It’s small, light and comfortable and though the small screen isn’t as easy to read or as luxe as pricier watches, the display does a good enough job in most light conditions.
AirPods Pro (2nd generation)
These popular AirPods are rarely discounted, so any deal is to be savoured. Thanks to a new H2 chip and amplifier, the 2nd generation has a noticeably deeper bass and clearer sound. Transparency mode, too, is greatly improved with less of the crackle you get when wind passes over microphones that pump in external audio. On the run, they feel lightweight and comfortable and the fit is reassuringly secure.
Pulsio Compression Boots
A lot of compression boots claim to be portable or otherwise suitable for taking abroad with you. But in reality, they’re still pretty bulky and their accompanying carry cases would take up the entire contents of your hand luggage if travelling by air. Not the Pulsio Boots, though. These pack down into a relatively small – and definitely portable – carry bag, while the boots themselves are easy to set up, with a control panel that allows you to change the pressure, mode and time of the session. The pressure range on the Pulsio boots is impressive, too, maxing out at 200mmHg – way above the industry standard of 120mmHg.
Elite 8 Active
Jabra’s award-winning in-ear Elite 8 Active headphones are among the best running headphones you can buy right now. They boast unrivalled durability, they're incredibly light, have a wing-tip-free secure fit, and an excellent 14-hour buds battery life with up to 56 hours in the case. An absolute bargain at 50% off the black colourway.
Powerbeats Pro Wireless Earphones
These RW-lab-approved headphones are worth every penny. The punchy bass is great for pacing and their adjustable hooks fit around the ear to make sure they stay in place throughout any workout. Despite having a bulkier design than most, courtesy of the aforementioned hooks, we found them supremely comfortable to wear. As they’re manufactured by Apple, they’re definitely best-suited to iPhone users, with the ability to summon Siri and display their battery on your mobile’s home screen. We were also big fans of the magnetic charging case, which boosts the total battery life up to 24 hours.
Reebok FR20z Floatride Treadmill
This is a bargain on a very capable treadmill, with a top speed of 18kph (3:20 min/km pace) and up to 15% incline. There's 32 built-in workout programmes, but it's also compatible with Zwift and Kinomap (though there's no HD screen). The running belt measures 140cm (L) by 46cm (W) which is a little on the narrow side, but it's a sturdy and well-built machine overall for a very reasonable price.
Superun Walking Pad 2.5HP
Amazon's Choice, the Superun Walking Pad 2.5HP is budget-friendly and ideal for getting your steps in from the warmth of your home. It can easily fit under your desk or furniture, making it perfect for a home office. The walking pad is shockproof, meaning it doesn't need a mat to protect your flooring, either.
Galaxy Buds2 Pro Wireless Earphones
We found these earphones quick and easy to lodge in the ears and then highly comfortable and secure on the run. Sound quality scored highly, too, with our audiophile praising the ‘smooth, rich sound’ and the noise cancellation.
Oura Ring Gen3
The Oura Ring Gen 3 is a comprehensive and reliable health tracker that's both accurate and stylish — and it's just hit its lowest ever price in this Black Friday deal.

OpenRun Pro
The open-ear fit of Shokz premium bone-conduction headphones keeps you connected to the world around for a more race-friendly and road-safe run. The OpenRun Pro boasts a newer version of the bone conduction tech than the cheaper OpenRun though there’s not much of an upgrade in audio quality. However, if you want 2 hours extra runtime battery and a faster charging time, it might be worth the extra £££.
OpenRun
These bone conductor headphones are perfect for listening out for ambient noise, such as a passing car, whilst also tuning into your favourite playlist or podcast. They have eight hours play time and are waterproof meaning sweat and rain won't damage your listening experience. When is Black Friday 2024?
Black Friday falls the day after Thanksgiving in the U.S. This year, that’s Friday 29 November. Deals usually run throughout the weekend, ending with Cyber Monday on Monday 2 December.
What is Black Friday?
The Black Friday 'tradition' originates in the U.S, when retailers would drop their prices for a day ahead of the festive season. In the 2010s, retailers around the world, including the UK, began to get involved in the action, led by American-owned retailers such as Amazon. now, it's the biggest shopping event on the calendar.
‘Black Friday’ also used to be reserved for high street stores, while ‘Cyber Monday’ was for online deals. Now though, most of the deals are centred online throughout the four-day event — and some retailers even drop their prices in the days and weeks prior.
What brands are having a Black Friday sale?
Pretty much every shopping category is fair game over Black Friday, with a host of discounted products available for runners.
When it comes to tech, look out for deals on some of the best GPS watches from the likes of Garmin and Apple. In recent years, this has included some of the cheapest prices all year on the Fenix and Forerunner models, both at Amazon and John Lewis.
Got your eye on a pair of wireless running headphones? Look out for price-cuts from Shokz, Bose, Beats, Samsung and more.
And you can often save hundreds on a top quality treadmill, too, including JTX, NordicTrack and Horizon Fitness.
If you're after some winter running kit, Nike has already kicked off its Black Friday sale, with 25% off site wide when you use the code GOBIG24
Salomon is also one to keep on your radar if you're in the market for a new hydration vest, with up to 30% off.
When do the Black Friday early sales start?
It's worth noting that while the best deals are usually reserved for the main event (29 November-2 December), we're expecting a lot of retailers to start dropping their prices in the weeks prior to Black Friday — especially if 2023 was anything to go by.
In fact, Decathlon has already lowered its prices on selected Garmin watches, compression boots and Kiprun apparel.
Argos has also kicked off its Black Friday sale early, while Amazon's Black Friday Week runs from 21 November to 2 December with new deals dropping every day.
For cut-price running shoes and apparel, take 25% off in Nike's Black Friday sale.
How to shop the Black Friday sales
Black Friday isn’t about buying everything you see — it’s about getting what you really want for a much better price. It’s worth making a list of what you’re after ahead of the event, whether that’s a certain model of Garmin or a particular pair of running shoes. That way you’re more likely to avoid going over budget.
We’d also recommend using Black Friday as an opportunity to get ahead of your Christmas shopping, with prices often lower than they are in December.
