Following the birth of his son Wilder, Ant McPartlin has taken to social media to clear up any confusion after fans were left feeling 'confused'.

The Britain's Got Talent presenter welcomed a beautiful baby boy with his wife of three years, Anne-Marie. Ant announced the news via social media with the caption: "Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!"

The 48 year old also shared a touching picture of his tattoo that is a tribute to his wife Anne-Marie Corbett and her two daughters - Daisy and Poppy. However, it left fans with many questions.

In the image, Ant's tattoo shows a huge blossoming tree with the names - Amzie (presumably for his wife of three years Anne-Marie), his two step daughters, Daisy and Poppy, and Ant's two pooches, Milo and Bumble. But there was one name noticeably missing - his other dog, Hurley.

Now, Ant has addressed his tattoo and put fan's worries at ease. He said: "Glad you loved the tattoo as well. For all you dog lovers who asked why my beloved Hurley wasn’t on the family tree..he was!! He was just covered by our newborn. All my love, gratitude and heartfelt thanks A."

When Ant and Anne-Marie - who tied the knot back in August 2021 and first met when she was his personal assistant - announced their news, pals raced to congratulate the couple. Davina McCall wrote: "Argggghhhhhhhhh!! This is AMAZING !!!! Congratulations to ALL of you".

It was rumoured earlier this year that the couple were expecting their first child together and, according to The Sun, a source previously commented on the baby news.

The said: “This is the news everyone wanted. Ant and Anne-Marie are beyond delighted. It’s no secret that Ant has always wanted children, but that it may never happen for him was something he had, sadly, come to terms with.

“When they found out last year, they were absolutely delighted, but obviously kept the news quiet for as long as possible. To be having a child two years short of his 50th birthday, with the love of his life, is the stuff of dreams for Ant."

"He’s already a wonderful, doting father to Anne-Marie’s kids, and together they’re going to be brilliant parents to this latest addition to the family.”
