Amanda Holden and her celebrity friends want to banish toilet seat hoverers
Amanda Holden and her celebrity friends want to ban hovering over toilet seats.
The group reveal this in conversation with Kate Thornton, chatting on episode 3 of podcast ‘White Wine Question Time’, produced by Kate Thornton in association with Yahoo.
‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge Amanda and her friends, ‘Worst Witch’ actress Nicola Stephenson and ‘The Detail’ actress Angela Griffin, discussed the toilet etiquette during the episode.
While some may prefer to hover over toilet seats for hygiene reasons, the friends believe the squat can be more disgusting than sitting down on the seat.
The discussion started when Kate asked the group: “If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would that rule be?”
“For the hoverers out there, you have to wipe it. Don’t hover and leave the splashes. It’s disrespectful and unfair,” said Nicola.

Amanda added: “Do your squats at the gym. Sit down on the toilet.”
“If you think about it, there aren’t that many diseases you can catch from the back of your legs. You don’t actually put your vagina on the toilet seat,” finished Nicola.
The friends also discussed Amanda’s backstage toilet at the Vaudeville theatre, which she decorated with Jo Malone candles.
Nicola: “There was a beautiful mirror she put in it, Jo Malone candles – the boys weren’t allowed to use it.”
