YouTube star Abhradeep Saha, who was better known as Angry Rantman online, has died aged 27. The influencer's family confirmed his sudden death on social media on Wednesday 17th April.
"With profound grief and sorrow, we hereby declare the sad and untimely demise of Abhradeep Saha AKA AngryRantman today," they wrote. "He touched the lives of millions with his honesty, humour and unwavering spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
"As we mourn his loss, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives and hold on to the cherished memories we share together. Inspiring change one rant at a time."
Abhradeep's family announced via his YouTube Community tab last month that the social media star had undergone a "major surgery" that had gone well, however he was suffering post surgery complications. They later stated that Abhradeep had been admitted to intensive care and was in "a really critical situation with a life saving support system".
Abhradeep, who was from Delhi in India, had not disclosed the health issue that he was suffering with prior to his death.
The 27-year-old had amassed almost 500,000 subscribers at the time of his death on YouTube since posting for the first time six years ago. His most popular videos, which featured Abhradeep giving his views on football, film and Indian cricket, were seen by over three million viewers.
One of his most recent videos saw the YouTuber rant about Chelsea Football Club's 2-4 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers in February, calling for the club's manager, Mauricio Ponchettino, to "get out".
Abhradeep's fans paid tributes to the YouTube star in their thousands, with one viewer posting on his page: "Please don't delete this channel, we want to see his videos and remember him for the joy he brought to our faces every time with his humour."
Another wrote: "This is deeply saddening. Life is so uncertain. Let's all be humble and spread love. His rants will always be missed."
Other content creators also paid tribute to Abhradeep, with podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, writing: "Rest in peace bro, we will miss you. Om Shanti [a Hindi phrase wishing for eternal peace.]"
Meanwhile, Abhyudaya Mohan commented: "Miss you brother," and Rohit Raghvendra said: "There is no vision, no passion and no aggression without you brother. Will really miss you bhai."
