Royal fans can't get over how much Prince Philip looked one of his living relatives in his youth.

The late Duke of Edinburgh would have been 103 on Monday (June 10) and to mark the occasion, members of the r/RoyalGossip forum on Reddit shared snaps taken during his youth. However, some were quick to spot the late Queen Elizabeth's husband looks "exactly" like Prince Harry, who stepped down from royal duties alongside wife Meghan Markle in 2020.

One user wrote: "Something I really liked about Philip that Harry himself said is that he was authentic all the time no matter who was interacting with. (That's why he said such wild things from presidents to regular people)

"Like he never pretend to be someone he wasn't and I appreciate that." They then attached a snap of Philip, adding: "A young 10 yo Philip looking exactly like Harry."

Another user agreed: "I always think Harry looks a lot like him, weirdly. William definitely is more of a Spencer." A third said they first spotted the resemblance during a walkabout following the late Queen's death.

They wrote: "Agreed. Harry may resemble him more in terms of actual facial features, but I see a lot of him in William’s facial expressions, posture, body language, etc. First noticed it at the walkabout after QE2’s death — like a switch had been flipped."

However, one user suggested a young Philip had been a bit of a heartthrob compared to his grandson. They wrote: "Harry looks like his grandpa though maybe not quite as handsome."

Some comments also say Prince William was beginning to look like his grandfather, with one suggesting there were a "great deal" of similarities between the pair.

Other users recalled comments Harry had made about his late grandfather. The Duke, who stepped down from royal duties in 2020 alongside Meghan Markle, said of Philip after his death in 2021: "He was authentically himself, with a seriously sharp wit, and could hold the attention of any room due to his charm – and also because you never knew what he might say next.

"He will be remembered as the longest-reigning consort to the monarch, a decorated serviceman, a Prince and a Duke. But to me, like many of you who have lost a loved one or grandparent over the pain of this past year, he was my grandpa: master of the barbecue, legend of banter, and cheeky right 'til the end."
